Onion Secure Browser is a web browser that utilizes the Tor network to provide a more private and anonymous internet browsing experience. It routes your internet traffic through multiple relays, masking your real IP address and making it difficult for websites and your ISP to track your online activity.
Key features include tunneling internet access over the Tor network, which hides your IP address and prevents your ISP from seeing your browsing. It also allows access to .onion websites, helps fight online tracking by clearing cookies and history, and can block scripts and multimedia content that might compromise privacy.
Yes, the application is available for free. It does not have in-app purchases or advertisements, offering a completely free browsing experience.
Web browsing can be slower due to the Tor network's relay system. Multimedia content like video streams are blocked by default as they can bypass Tor and compromise privacy. The app may not function in regions with strict internet censorship, such as China and Iran.
This app is designed for users who prioritize online privacy and anonymity. It is particularly useful for individuals who want to access the internet without being tracked, bypass internet filters, or explore .onion websites on the darknet.
