Works great
This thing is awesome for looking at files on the go. Everyone in my company has it on their device and we never hear any complaints!
Absolute piece of junk--would rate NO stars
Our company has attempted to adopt this app for distributing materials for review and comment. It simply won't work reliably. Onsite provides a web-based document management system and this app is their attempt to leverage that service onto the iPad. They apparently can't code as the app consistently crashes on attempting to get uploaded files to download to the iPad. No idea why the app crashes, there are no error messages or log files. All we are using are pdfs, ranging from 1 to 20 megabytes. No matter what size of local storage you set for the device, and how much of that is available, when the "download" button is pressed, the app crashes. There have been few updates to the app (we've been trying to use it since fall of 2012), so Onsite seems to be indifferent to whether the app works or not. THere's a "Pro" version of the app so perhaps Onsite wants you to move up to the payware to have a real working tool.

Has promise but nothing to marvel at for the moment
Although the App appears to have many useful features it tends to crash whenever they are used. Stability is what brought this app down.

Great Idea. Just wished it worked!
When I first got this app everything seemed to work great. So I pitched the use of it to my construction GC on a job costing around 1.1 million, and he hesitantly agreed to cooperate. Ever since that day I have had nothing but egg on my face every time I tried to pull up any of our documents. The app kicks me out to my home screen every time including after the update. I won't be using Construction Online ever again.

Don't waste your time
Sure it's free but it will not let you create an account so itsbuseless
Can't it to run.
When I start the app, the screen turns blank, and all I see is black, with the iPad info on top - wifi indicator, battery and time, etc. The other two Apps - Files and Photos - seem to work just fine.
Revolutionary
This app, along with the others in the onsite family, have revolutionized the way I do business. I purchased the iPad solely for this app once it was announced, and have been EXTREMELY pleased by the way it performs. The iPad is a great size for showing documents to clients and it definitely improves credibility when they see you have a sleek device with an amazing app that connects with a site that they can join too. Score one for the little guy - I'm a one-man shop with the power of a full sized company.

Money Saver
The app, well and construction online, save my company money on printing plans. It's nice to have this app to view and zoom into my plans, plus it's free. My only investment was the ipad itself, and this app has paid me back for that by not making me print oor pay to view my plans.

A reason to own an iPad
As my companies IT department, I appreciate what PlanRoom does to the fullest. We use the iPad (an IT person's dream hardware by the way) and iPhone versions to sync our mobile users (contractors, finance, management) to our ConstructionOnline cloud, and couldn't be happier with the results. We tried using Dropbox and box.net, but porting all our files constantly from COL and back was a huge pain, and not timely. Planroom solves this issue for us seamlessly. The other features like sharing a file with anyone and commenting are SO useful for a medium sized firm such as ours. The iPad version's full screen viewing of documents/images is what the device was made for. 5 stars!

Great in the field
I’m excited that UDA came out with OnSite Planroom app. I previously used OnSite Files, and it worked well, but this is more construction specific and should come in handy in the field. I would like to see the ability to physically mark up the pdfs on there so I can send them into the office and know what I wanted to change.

Awesome Combo
First, got my iPad for free from a special UDA was running a while back, and now I get to use it for viewing plans! Great deal and app really flies. Thanks for the awesome app, really getting what I need with this.

Great for my customers
I have a customer that uses their iPad to view the drawings for the custom home I am building for them...I have uploaded all the files and plans to constructiononline and they log in whenever they want. Thanks for the useful app, it really helps my business!
Fast and smooth
I was blown away by how quickly and smoothly this app loaded all of my drawings. Gone are the days of carrying around bulky prints!
Slow and clunky
Terrible performance. Files loaded very slowly into viewer. If I try to use iBooks as viewer it kicks me out of OnSite. Hosting application is not very user friendly either.
