Best Chord App
I had been using the website and wanted a way to support it - the chord analyzer alone makes for an essential tool. Couldn’t recommend more.
Website is better
Website is better. I bought it on ipad and it has that weird enlarged look. Also why is it not possible to change scale in chord progression mode?
Got it for the best chord analyzer/theory tool, ended up recommending it to beginners for LESSONS
It’s the best, finding chords, chord relationships, exploring chords, most importantly naming chords you have found. 10/10 S+ would buy again. I ended up recommending it to a couple buddies because the lessons are really really thoughtful- and has built in quizzes when you’re on a car ride and chord progressions out the wazzoo to experiment with and try out new concepts.

I like that app. I can find variations of all the chords. It's especially great that it tells me the chord names based on the notes I press on the keyboard.

An amazing app
A really detailed and comprehensive app for those wanting to expand their chord knowledge. My only critique is that I wish I could save progressions I've made in the chord analyzer.
Best Guitar theory app there is
I’m so grateful for this app! What a gem. Thank you for creating it! My middle aged brain never learned music when it was young, so none of this comes easy. But this app helps.
Only thing that would be better is more interactive games and added content. It feels like it’s not being updated much.

Will be great for teaching complex fingerings
This is a very elegantly designed programmed visually, good for incremental chord changes( trills, hammer-ons, pull offs) . I plan on doing screen caps of oddball chords and using that to teach guitarists songs, MUCH easier than wasting rehearsal time. You can create videos, but it’s not as reliably accessible (or as 9x12 visible) as a sheet-of-paper per song in a notebook.

Tried them all, this is the best
I’m probably what you’d call an intermediate player, not a flashy soloist or anything. Most guitar apps seem to be for beginners or people who want to be shredders. For everyone who needs a great reference tool, this is the one. This has been everything that I need. Switching from playing e standard to c standard made things challenging to me, but this app has helped more than every single other one I’ve tried.

I’ve been getting back into music and I’m extremely rusty with theory. This app has helped catapult me back into the world of music without needing to read a bunch of literature. However, there is one bug I would like to report. I did use the email address as well to submit a report. Whenever I leave the app and come back, the audio is muted and I have to hard close the app to fix it.

Oolimo verwende ich schon sehr lange um knifflige Akkorde zu verstehen - seit neuestem ist jedoch immer dann der Ton weg, wenn man bei geöffneter App in eine andere App - z.B. ChordAI oder Ultimate Guitar wechselt und wieder zurückgeht - ein Reset hilft leider nicht, nur App schliessen & neu öffnen - bitte beheben, dann ist alles wieder gut 🤗🤗🤗

Great App
Oolimo is a reslly great usefull app für making music! To the developers: please allow us to experiment more with alternative and individual tunings. Chord diagrams for each tuning would be very helpful, as would implementing fingerings above the 12th fret. Thank you.
I like this app a lot
This does amazing stuff such as analyzing chords, teaching chords theory, etc. The only thing that keeps it from being five stars for me is that when I do the tests, it doesn’t grade them. I am hoping to hear from the developer that I am missing something or it’s something that can be fixed. If it is, I will upgrade my review to five stars. Even with that glitch, I highly recommend this. I will be using it for a long time to come

Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
So many of these apps are filled with so much junk. Tabs, social media, gamification, etc. Oolimo is the opposite. It is a Bible of chords and tonal theory that expends all its efforts in giving you every detail of a chord you could ever possibly want. I think it’s brilliant and worth every penny.
Outstanding app
After using oolimo web for years as a student and now as a teacher I was always amazed by the insane quality and convenience of that website. It is just incredible that the site is free and when i discovered i could give a little money for this app version it was an obvious thing to do and a real pleasure. I'll be there for future projects or updates. Thank you so much Oliver !
