Amazing one day, desperately frustrating the next
Orrion really is a tale of two apps.
At times it can be my saviour, enabling me to navigate new spaces and find specific locations to a level of detail that GPS can only wish for. At others it drives me utterly mad, bringing up errors, misunderstanding requests, searching for details of companies when all I want is for it to look through the camera and identify it visually, One day finding a particular object happily and the next telling me that it doesn’t exist. On a recent trip through ten different countries in continental Europe it helped me find specific restaurants, the doors to hotels, flights of steps, Text on signs, but it also left me in the lurch on no end of occasions when I desperately needed a helping Hand, and it just couldn’t deliver. So, the big thing I would like to see from Orrion is a bit more consistency.

It was very successful at finding personal objects and generic objects for example a banana in my fridge.
It struggled to read text to me from labels on clothes.

A fantastic extra tool for Blind!
This is the most reliable and consistent artificial intelligence assistant for the Blind that I have come across! I just used it with my smart glasses to help me navigate an unfamiliar stretch of road where I knew there was a series of side Ross and I was using my lung cane and I asked the assistant to describe to me the direction of the pavement in front of me and any turnings and crossings ahead: it did a fantastic job! I have tried many pairs of smart glasses and various AI assistance for the Blind and this one did not cut out on me, disconnect or hallucinate! Brilliant!

L’application est bien construite et rassemble plusieurs fonctionnalités intéressantes.
Il serait bien pratique de préciser, lors de la recherche d’une chaise, par exemple, si celle-ci est occupée ou libre.
