OP Studio is the MIDI companion app built for OP users who want more control over their recordings and performances. Connect via USB-C. Record, quantize, perform. QUANTIZER Record notes live from your OP, then snap them to a grid with surgical precision. Adjust quantization strength (0–100%), swing amount, and threshold so grooves stay human even after correction. Edit notes in the piano roll, trim recordings, and send back as a single shot or continuous loop. 112 PATTERNS Browse a curated library of drum patterns and melodic sequences across 23 genre categories: Four on the Floor, Trap, Bossa Nova, Techno, Drum & Bass, Afrobeats, TB-303 Acid, Euclidean rhythms, and more. Each pattern shows a dot-grid preview so you can see the rhythm before you hear it. Customize per-step velocity, note, and ratchet (up to 4 subdivisions with velocity decay). Export any pattern as a MIDI file. SEQUENCER Build 16-step sequences using your OP keyboard in learn mode — play a note and the app auto-advances to the next step. Chord-aware: strum multiple notes within 50 ms and they land as a chord on a single step. Supports variable timing for free-rhythm sequences. GROOVE Compose multi-track arrangements with up to 8 tracks, polyrhythmic step counts (4 to 64 steps), per-track rate scaling (0.5× to 4×), accent track, and global swing. Save your groove directly to the pattern library. PERFORM MODE Available in every module: tap PERFORM and hold any key on your OP keyboard. The app transposes your sequence or pattern chromatically in real time — live, on the fly, zero latency. TEMPO SYNC Locks to your OP-1's MIDI Clock signal automatically. Tap MANUAL to override BPM at any time. DESIGNED FOR THE HARDWARE Aluminum silver background, SF Mono labels, uppercase everything. OP Studio is built to feel like a natural extension of the OP — not a generic iOS app. Works with iPhone and iPad. Requires iOS 17 or later. Connects via USB-C (USB Class-Compliant MIDI).
