Great App
This app was just really easy to use and to love! By using its many different features, my friends and I were able to see our dream trip: going to Asia! I was a bit weary about what adding AI meant to certain apps, but here, it was very unobtrusive and actually really helpful!
Trip to Mexico
Went on a trip with my fraternity brothers to Mexico. The budget feature kept all of us accountable. Wish I could send the itinerary through my messages. Great idea for app and will use again for upcoming family reunion trip.
Bahamas trip went well
I did a girls trip to the Bahamas with 7 of my friends and we planned it in Opal. Love the idea but I do wish it was easier to upload my flight information. Also reminders could be something to look into. Can’t wait to see where this idea goes. Will def use this for my next international trip.
Great app for family trips
I used the app to plan a family trip to Bentonia Mississippi for the world famous blues festival. I wish that I could send the itineraries through message instead of email. Great idea and can’t wait for the app to only improve.
Best App for Travel
Opal is perfect for planning trips with friends. The fact that you can invite friends to collaborate on trips makes planning more transparent to one another. The interface is clean, simple, and accessible where you can easily navigate through the menus. The convenience factor is what gets me excited to plan my future trips with friends and family! Simple, intuitive, and fun to use!

Took the stress out of my trip planning
I’ve always found trip planning to be a nightmare cuz you have to manage all the different activities that people want to do…Opal has a super cool collaborative feature where you can vote for the activities you want to do and you can see what your friends have also voted to do…then you add it to your itinerary and voila trip planned!

Amazing tool for college student side quest/group trip planning
Couple friends and I used Opal to plan a spontaneous last minute trip to visit our other
friend’s home town in Canada and we were able to super easily build an itinerary based off our individual preferences and the spots it generated were actually SO LEGIT like even our friend said that the spots were super authentic even for locals. Made mapping out our days sm easier so we didn’t have to waste time deciding what to do and when to do it. Will def be using this when I go to Asia for my internship very soon!

Revolutionizing Group Trip Planning
Every group trip I’ve ever been on has been planned by 1 or 2 people, which is always such a huge burden on them. Simultaneously, the people from the rest of the group find it hard to actively contribute their ideas, which can make the whole travel experience sour before it even begins. I really love the concept of Opal and haven’t seen this anywhere else. I genuinely think they’ve been revolutionizing group trip planning.

Really love the concept of Opal. I went interrailing last year with my friends and planning that trip was an absolute pain, so the idea of an app that plans your itinerary based on your group’s preferences and budget is AWESOME!! I’ve tried Opal out a bit and there’s definitely some bugs to be fixed but I really love the vision. I can’t wait to see where the updates take Opal next!

Life saver
I’m always the mum of the group, planning every trip down to the Tee. Whilst I don’t hate trip planning, I really love how Opal makes the process collaborative, whereby everyone in my group can edit the itinerary at the same time. Opal saves me time and energy and my friends can finally contribute (for once).

I’m usually the planner of big trips, sometimes even up to 40 people, and I’ve always struggled to organise everything in a way that can be accessible to everyone and doesn’t have me scattered across 7 different webpages and group chats. Found hidden gems in London
I’m new to London so wanted to immediately immerse myself in the culture and find more off-the-beaten-track things to do. Opal recommended some really cool spots, like Cucumber Alley for the best street market food EVER! Love this app so far, can’t wait to see where it goes
Love the idea, just needs a bit of work
It’s really cool seeing young people build stuff these days. Found the app through Instagram, and became intrigued by the concept, so downloaded it. I think the app definitely needs some improvement, but I can’t wait to follow the founders’ journeys because they seem like really good people.

From their TikTok, I think the co-founders are still iterating on the design, but I already love how you can explore recommended experiences around your area with their new map feature. The latest update also has a chat, which I already find super helpful, because we don’t have to make another group chat for the group trip! I really think Opal will be the first to NAIL collaborative trip planning!!

Fab idea in the making!
The idea of this app could be revolutionary for aspiring travellers - from interailers to gc trips for sure. Defo still in the development stage, but you can see the hard work that’s been put in for the team and I’m confident in the vision!

The idea for this app is so smart & needed! Having planned (or tried to plan) many group trips myself I can tell you it’s not easy to create a trip that everyone loves but this app makes it so simple! Couple of bugs could do with being fixed which I’m sure they’re on, but otherwise a great app 🤩
Making trips ACTUALLY happen!!
I always find that the plans I make with friends over text never actually end up happening since it’s so hard to really plan out these trips. Opal has completely fixed this problem for us, and we’re finally able to go explore new places and experiences together because of it! Definitely planning on using Opal again for our next trips!

Best NYC Trip
I recently went to NYC with some friends and decided to try this app out, and it was an absolute savior! Opal helped me make most of my 3 day trip and ensure I can see most of NYC and the best part is not just the touristy spots but some local restaurants as-well! All of this was also so affordable.
