Why so many bugs???
We just purchased for my elderly Dad. Pleased at first but now it’s not updating his location with any precision. Apparently he’s half way across the suburb. Also won’t let us add any medication alerts. Keeps saying to try again in a few minutes. This app needs an update. Please!!! People’s loved ones safety is supposedly being protected by this?!

Nothing but trouble
First phone got stuck in a boot loop, then there was some kind of software failure which made the phone completely untrackable which is the whole point of the phone. Then the second phone was stuck in a boot loop too. Just gave up, returned it and bought an oppo for my child instead.
Whitelist doesn’t update
Overall the ap seems ok most things work, but one problem it seems to have is adding new numbers to the whitelist doesn’t update the device and the numbers remain blocked.
Useless phone GPS doesn’t work much

Lots of time out error messages trying to setup a phonebok
Constant notifications that phone is missing parental control settings
Continuous notifications that child’s phone is missing parental control permission in settings. The notifications says to ‘open the Smartkids app on your Smartkids phone and follow instructions.’ This is not actually a function that the Smartkids app can perform, there is no notifications section and no instructions accessible. The notifications are continuous as in, 4 in the same minute. And then a few hours later another 4. Help

Don’t buy it. Trap to take money
Waste of money and time
Geofencing - shows phone to be in a different location multiple times throughout the day, when it’s locked in a drawer at school.
- notification of departure and arrival in home location throughout the night when child is asleep
- can only narrow down geofence to approx 500m radius
Parent app - constant API issues - constant notifications without reason, draining mine and child’s phone
This phone and app are actually the worst I’ve come across, have only had since Christmas 2022 and will be upgrading at child’s birthday

Useless & no support
So this app only allows 18 contacts on the whitelist
This is not mentioned anywhere on the website, the phone packaging or anywhere else.
I’ve contacted the provider & haven’t got a response.
Will be retuning the phone to the retailer & getting my money back.
After doing further reading it appears that the google family app will provide 99% of that this app can do anyway.
And it will allow more than 18 contacts.
Wish I’d read more of these app reviews before I’d purchased.

Locked my guardian email account POS
I used my Microsoft email account for the guardian on a Kidz Smart Phone. Now Microsoft says I have to log in as guardian and when I do it just loops around. So email locked out. Rubbish app. They would know there are problems with Microsoft but they choose to ignore. Don’t waste your time like I have

I can’t even set up the app, it doesn’t let me in. The phone had 5mins of battery.
