What's New in Open Dugout
v1.3.0
August 11, 2026
For coaches: New tryout tools — create a tryout, share a registration link with families, and evaluate players live. Everyone who registers is saved to your prospect bank for later review. Team pages redesigned — schedule, roster, and events all live on one team screen, with role-based roster tags (Head Coach, Assistant, Pitching Coach, Player, Parent). Real-time team chat, plus cross-team messaging and announcements separate from the day-to-day chat. RSVP and attendance tracking for team events, with automatic reminders for anyone who hasn't responded. Recurring events, RSVP deadlines, and a unified "My Events" view across every team you coach. Team and coach affiliation history — your coaching record builds automatically as you create teams and post events. CSV roster import for adding a full team roster at once. Organization pages for programs running multiple teams. For players and parents: Player profiles redesigned with dedicated sections for positions, scouting stats, pitch types, and availability. Parents can now link and manage a child's athlete profile directly, invite a co-guardian to share access, or request access to an existing profile instead of creating a duplicate. Team schedule, RSVP, and chat now available from the player/parent side too. For everyone: Guest player search now covers all 50 states. Notifications for connection requests and messages are more reliable, including for families managing a linked athlete profile. The app is now available on the web, with the same core features as mobile. Assorted bug fixes, including a stuck loading screen on the team attendance view.
