Unresponsive Support and Unauthorized Billing

UPDATE: Resolved Only After Bank Dispute - No Thanks to Their Support

The developer responded to this review asking me to email them directly. I will not be doing that. The only resolution I received came after filing a formal dispute with my bank, which took several months. Their response here is polished and sounds sincere, but it came after eight unanswered emails over three weeks and only after this review was posted publicly. If you are considering this service, know that if a billing issue arises, do not expect their support channel to help you. Go straight to your bank. That was the only thing that worked.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was charged $240 for an auto-renewal I did not intend to authorize. I have made eight attempts over three weeks to resolve this directly with their support team. My first message was ignored entirely, and every follow-up since has gone unanswered. The one response I did receive did not address my concern at all. I have since filed a dispute with my bank. The app itself is basic, but a company that ignores its customers when a billing issue arises is not one I can recommend. Real estate agents considering this service should keep a very close eye on their billing and be aware that support may not be there when you need it.

Misleading Free Service

This app is pretty good all small issues aside. But my biggest gripe is that its free version says that it lets you “View and Manage Your First 25 Leads” although when you go to delete a past lead or one you’ve already contacted / put into your CRM so you keep track - it prompts you to upgrade for $20 a month….pretty misleading to promise managing leads in the app but you can’t remove any without paying them. I do like the app and I do wish it had better MLS automations and integrations to my own lead-gen portal / website but solely due to the misrepresentation of the free service I will no longer be using this app and instead will be creating my own JotForm instead - who also has an app and is not misleading on what a free/paid plan gets you.

Response from developer

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We’re glad to hear there are aspects of the app you enjoyed, but we also understand your frustration around the limitations of the free plan. You make a fair point that the wording around “view and manage” leads could create different expectations, particularly when certain management features require an upgrade. Transparency is extremely important to us, and feedback like yours helps us improve both the product experience and how features are communicated. We also appreciate your suggestions around MLS automations and lead-gen integrations. Those are areas we’re actively working to improve as we continue developing the platform. Thank you again for giving the app a try and for taking the time to share detailed feedback.

Exceeded lead limit

The app allowed me to create one last open house. After I was done I tried to go back and look at my open house report. I had a message about upgrading to premium. My leads were locked. I could not get in to view the leads at all. The only way is to upgrade. If someone exceeds the limits of a free trial for open houses, why allow them to schedule and close and open house in the first place? I would’ve gladly upgraded at the next open house had the app blocked me from creating the open house in the first place. Now, I’m going to look elsewhere for an open house app. I host opens every single weekend both Saturday and Sunday. I have received so many compliments from buyers and agents alike, about this app. Now, I’m not so sure I want to ever use this app or positively advertise it to attendees and agents at my open houses.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this caused. We understand how disappointing it is to complete an open house successfully and then unexpectedly lose access to your leads behind a premium upgrade screen. Your feedback is valid, and we agree that the experience should be clearer and more seamless when account limits are reached. Your comments have been shared directly with our product team as we review how free-plan limits and upgrade prompts are handled. We truly appreciate the time you spent using the app and the honest feedback you provided.

Data on ipad is not fed through to desktop app. It was last week but not this week. An upgrade?

I can see on my ipad app that email entries were collected by the app but I cannot see it nor access it. Data is not fed through via import. Click on lead import get Error message: No Lead Data (or similar).

Buyer Beware

This company uses an auto-renewal subscription tactic with no reminders, notifications or in-app management of your subscription.

The company requires that you contact customer service to manage the renewal, and if you miss your date, guess what? You’re subscribed for another year.

No partial refund, no choice to subscribe monthly and customer service responses that take weeks.

Wish we could customize questions

Not a bad app: this beats using a paper and pen log in sheet. But I do wish there were better features including the ability to customize questions because we like to run a contest on having guests guess how much the property will sell for to win a prize…..can’t enter that on the app

Horrible

I am very disappointed after numerous attempts to get the app to work and then when it finally works, I host an open Health only to find that I cannot access my leads unless I pay your ridiculous amount. After this has been free for all this time now, I can’t access any visitors that came to my open house! Thanks for nothing and I absolutely positively will not refer this app to any more agents. What a total scam shame on you!

Use to be good

I have to say I’m disappointed in the sudden change Open Home Pro and done. Without warning, I used my app at the last open house I did and when I was finished, I had to upgrade my account to access the leads I just put in. In addition, all of the leads I previously had are now hidden and I have no way of accessing them without paying $25 a month. I’ll be deleting this app since it’s now useless. Back to pen a paper.

Slow and lags…. Freezes many times

Slow and lags…. Freezes many times

Used to be free now it’s way overpriced and can’t access my leads

Used this app for awhile and now I can’t even access the people that signed in unless I pay $20/month annually. Wish I knew this before I had people sign in. Will use another app

Lost all Leads

I'd used this app a couple of times in the past, then started using kvCore - so switched to their app. Needless to say, I changed CRM's and wanted to use an app that would network with Followup Boss. First the app had problems "syncing". I finally got it to stop spinning and used it at my Open House. I had a HOT lead attend. BUT after the Open House, when I went to get the leads info from the app - the "syncing" function just kept spinning. Restarted the app and ... it now says there were NO leads at my Open House. I have completely lost - not just the possibility of a Buyer but the possibility of a Listing!!!!! I'll find something else to use in the future!

Continuous Syncing

My app is in a never ending syncing. I add a listing in order to schedule an open house. It just syncs doesn’t save the listing it doesn’t allow me to add an open house (which is the entire purpose of this app). It worked ish the first couple times I used it & it’s been 6+ months that it started.

Terrible update limits lead capture

This app was my go-to for years. Now when you have over 25 leads you have to pay $25 a month to be able to continue capturing leads. It’s useless at this point. I’ll be deleting the OpeHomePro app and installing one of the other available options.

Used to be great, now I can’t use it

Just updated to the new version, and all my data was erased and I can’t add a new listing or open house. All I get is a spinning “create listing” action but nothing happens. So disappointed. This used to be a wonderful tool the way it was.

Awful

Awful . No customer service. I’ve been locked or the app has frozen to many times to count

Stopped working

I have used Open Home Pro® for over a year now for my open houses. I did not have any problems when using this app. At the end of June it required you to upgrade to use most of the services on the app. I paid for a full year subscription on July 1. Last weekend I went to use the app that I had programmed for my Open House and it’s completely blank. None of my contacts, leads or listings were there. I have reached out to support over the weekend and they didn’t get back to me till Monday morning. They said to update the app. I did that and now it is a blank white page. There is nothing there. I will be needing my $240 back since you are not providing the service that I paid for. Shameful!

Response from developer

We're sorry this happened, especially after you had just renewed your subscription. Having an open house tool fail when you need it most is not the experience we want anyone to have. This review relates to an older version of the app, and we've made substantial improvements to stability, syncing, and support response times over the years.

DON’T USE IT!!!

This was a great free app. Yes, it was better as a paid app, but I could make do with the free version.
Now - without warning - they hold your information hostage on the free app until you pay them to get the information you collected at your open house.
Despicable!

Ridiculous

Using this app for about 2yrs and had to update the app after my last open house, locked me out of seeing my leads unless I upgrade and pay $20/month.

Greedy

I’ve had this app for six years. Due to the update it’s not allowing me to see my leads unless I pay a premium. Would have been professional to let us know this was the new system before doing an open house. Luckily when I saw the system freeze up I was able to get my las leads. Won’t be using this app again. $25 per month is ridiculous.
