FAQ

What is OpenScape Mobile Pro?

OpenScape Mobile Pro is a mobile application that enhances your communications experience with rich Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video capabilities. It is part of a larger Unified Communications solution and requires specific server components to function correctly.

How does OpenScape Mobile Pro reduce cellular charges?

The app reduces cellular charges by allowing you to make and receive calls over Wi-Fi. This lowers air-time minutes and roaming charges, especially when you are at home, a Wi-Fi hotspot, or on your corporate Wi-Fi.

What are the different modes of operation?

OpenScape Mobile Pro operates in three modes depending on your license: UC-only mode for Unified Communications features, Voice/Video-only mode for VoIP and video calling, and Combined mode for both UC and VoIP/video functionality.

Can I move calls between devices?

Yes, the app features a 'call swipe' function that allows you to seamlessly move calls between your mobile device and a desktop device, as well as between cellular networks and Wi-Fi with a simple gesture.

Is this app a standalone client?

No, OpenScape Mobile Pro is not a standalone client. It is a component of a Unified Communications solution, and all mandatory solution components must be installed and operational for it to function correctly. Consult your administrator before installing or upgrading.
