Can’t create a route, App crashes
First time user - I was looking forward to simply plotting a route over a marine chart, to visualize the likely vessel path before a recent South Korea marine accident. I’m usually quite adept at making apps work for me, including several other marine apps, but I couldn’t find a way to create a route on the map in this one. The bar at the bottom appears to be where an option like that might appear, but tapping on it just causes the app to immediately crash. I did try creating a few waypoints, but I couldn’t find a way to create a route that follows them.

Hat jemand eine Navi App im Auto, wo die Straßen nicht eingezeichnet sind? Das wichtigste an einer Seekarte sind die tiefen Linien und die Untiefen. Das ist ein Witz das Wichtigste vom ganzen fehlt. Setzen fünf. 😂

Guter Ansatz…
…aber ich frage mich, ob ich die Entfernung zwischen zwei Punkten messen kann. Sie wird auch zwischen Wegpunkten nicht angezeigt. Das schränkt die Brauchbarkeit für die Planung schon sehr ein. Leider finde ich auch keine Dokumentation zur Funktionalität.

had high hopes for open crowd sourced charting, this isnt it. for marine navigation, even google streetmaps on sat view has more detail. willing to be told im wrong, but i deleted it after 15 minutes.

On a Baltic Cruise
I am a retired boat builder and used this free chart on a Baltic Cruise so I knew exactly were the ship was. The resolution and accuracy was excellent, better then on the ships television version. To make it work well when out of internet I found it worth opening the chart and zooming into areas I was most interested in such as harbours to see buoys traffic separation zones etc. Whilst I had internet as It builds up the Cache, in my case this amounted to 23.8 mb.

Useful
This is free - and does not replace conventional chars and chartplotters. It gives buoyage but not depths.
I find it useful for planning when away from my boat and my charts. Afloat and where there is a phone signal, I find it helpful to have a quick visual position - I have a GPS, paper charts but no chart plotter.

Nutzlos
Es werden weder Wassertiefen angezeigt, noch lassen sich Entfernung berechnen, eigene festgelegte Positionen bleiben nur in der List abrufbar, werden nicht angezeigt. Habe die Pro Version gekauft, aber die bietet nur die Möglichkeit mehr Wegepunkte zu speichern. Das sie abstürzt kommt als weitere Kritikpunkt dazu. So wird die Idee von Open Surce missbraucht.

Utter crap!
This is not a chart. It cannot be used for any navigation. It would be better to spend .99p in a second hand book store and navigate with a world atlas. Save your money!!!!!!

Sluggish and lacking detail
I suppose we have to buy charts to see any detail and if I'm going to do that, might as well use Garmin. Views are slow and buggy to load when you zoom.
Gute durchdachte Benutzerführung
Wegpunkte werden gut verwaltet und die Map reagiert sehr gut. Bisher ein sehr hilfreiches Werkzeug.
Schöne Seekarten-App
Gut umgesetzt und mit cleveren Extras wie z.B. dem Nachtmodus!
Offline? Tiefenangaben?
Es wäre gut, wenn man Karten offline speichern könnte, nicht immer hat man Handyempfang. Offline-speichern funktioniert entgegen der App-Beschreibung nicht.
Tiefenangaben wären auch wichitg und fehlen in der App.

After paying for the pro version to get the weather layers, no weather to be seen.
Ausbaufähig
Leider kann man die iPad-Fassung nur zum gucken nehmen, denn Informationen zu den Schiffen öffnen sich nicht mit Fingertippen. Sehr schade.
