About
Your documents, ready to read or listen to.
OpenVoicePDF brings PDFs, scanned pages and everyday text together in a comfortable reader for iPhone and iPad. Read quietly, listen on the move, and pick up where you left off.
READ YOUR WAY
• Open PDF, TXT, Markdown and HTML documents.
• Zoom, search, rotate, share and print PDFs.
• Choose a light or dark appearance, with a separate PDF night mode. Keep original white pages when you need clear images, QR codes or barcodes.
• Collapse the reading settings to give your text more room.
TURN SCANNED PAGES INTO SPOKEN TEXT
• Recognize text on your device with OCR.
• Reduce tables, page numbers and common OCR noise in the text prepared for listening.
• Select a word and choose Read from here to start at that passage.
TEN VOICES. THIRTY-ONE LANGUAGES.
• Listen with Supertonic 3 speech synthesis running on your device.
• Choose female or male voices and adjust reading speed.
• Use expressive narration and optional dialogue mode with automatic speaker-to-voice assignment.
• Pause and resume from the lock screen or while using another app.
KEEP YOUR PLACE
Follow the spoken passage with a subtle highlight and optional automatic scrolling. Return to your saved document and reading position whenever you are ready to continue.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account is required. Document processing, OCR and speech synthesis run locally on your device.
On your first Listen, review and accept the voice model's OpenRAIL-M license. The approximately 129 MB voice pack downloads automatically, then reading starts after preparation without a second tap. Once the model is installed, speech synthesis works offline. Internet access is needed for the initial download and optional external websites.
The interface is available in 31 languages. Use only content you are entitled to process.
