As soon as I came across this app on the App Store I was udderly mesmerized. How could this be? Iāve spent hours each day scrolling to find the perfect app and bam, here it is. My eyes were first caught by the gentle curves of the tab titled āDismissal and Closure Proceduresā, the writing in elegant grey font, a stark contrast from the sharp green above. With great difficulty I tear myself away from it and allow my gaze to rest on the three bars lovingly crafted in the left hand corner. Immediately I am overcome with a great sense of adventure, it was as an unexplored crevice appears to a nimble spelunker. I tap my fingers on them gently, unlocking a world of wonders. Three choices appear before me, a hidden emblem adorns the space beneath them and I gasp. What wonders are in store for me? What journeys lie ahead? Only time will tellā¦.

Notifications Not Working
I used to get notifications from this app but something has changed and I no longer get them. I reviewed the app notifications on my phone and all are set to receive.
Notifications donāt work
Doesnāt matter what settings are selected, Iāve had the app for several months and have gone through several updates and the app never sends push notifications or alerts. I find out the OPM status from friends and coworkers and then I look at the app and see the status changed. Terrible implementation.

This app is good at keeping you updated on the status, but you have to open up the app to get any updates. This app does not notify you or send push notifications, even if you have the setting turned on .

Snow day, NO notification
I have patiently waited until an inclement weather day to see if I would get an alert. Today is the day! January 6, 2025. Snowed all night. Forecast for continued snow all day. Federal Government CLOSED. This is exactly the reason why I have this app. Yet NO notifications. I have updated the app, checked all my settings. Nothing. And this is a large storm where updates regarding closures and delays are crucial over the next couple days. Additionally, January 9 was declared a federal holiday, date of morning for President Jimmy Carter. Will I get a notification for that??
I can easily check status online. The whole purpose of the app for me is to receive notifications, which used to occur seamlessly. Please do better, OPM. Please fix the app, so that notifications work properly. If there is something that all these reviewers are doing wrong with regard to notifications, please add a tutorial page to walk us through the process to get notifications.

Notifications Enabled. Never Once Received a Notification
Within the app settings, all options are checked; in my phoneās settings, notifications are enabled. Donāt think Iāve received a notification in years. Not sure what this app is for if it doesnāt notify you of closures.
Nothing Works
The notifications no longer work and as I write this itās almost 8 AM EDT and the app hasnāt been updated from yesterday. Why bother to have the app!!?

App Alerts Arenāt Working
Iām no longer receiving alerts for anything! I have to login to the app or the website to find out status. Disappointing.
Did someone forget to update it daily?
MLK is a government holiday so why is the status still stuck on Open (expected to be at work on time).
Accurate status updates
The app provides up to date status updates as soon as it happens. Have had this app for three years and never any issues. Works great.
Says the govt is open on a federal holiday
Today is a federal holiday (New Years Day Observed) and yet OPM Alert is telling me the government is Open with Maximum Telework Flexibilities. That makes no sense whatsoever. And of course there is no way to contact OPM to tell them they got it wrong. Even their website says the same thing and offers no way to contact them about OPM Alert.

App now useless
The app does not function in the background and does not reliably provide notifications. Whatās the purpose, then? Totally useless!

You would think they would fix this app and the status after a year. The same ole problem, worthless.

...and wanted to point out that under Settings, āDelayed Arrivalā appears twice.

The details in this app with regard to COVID has not been updated since 07 May 2020.
Wonāt open from menu anymore
App wonāt open when clicking on it. Only way I can open is by opening it through the App Store.
