Need a update
Ever since you discontinue your 4K player I try open the app to use the remote but it always be crashing. At least update the firmware
Crashed every time
Unable to load 9/10 times and when it does load it crashes when I try to connect to my Oppo 203.
Still crashes on it’s own
Open the app and it will crash on it’s own, whether you select an action or not. Also will not even open the settings page for the player while it is open. Very disappointing.
Works again
With iOS 17.2.1 this now works again without crashing. It only took a few years…. The only thing I’ve noticed is that using the volume toggle on the phone does not change the volume you have to manually use the slider with your finger.
App won’t launch in new iOS update
I primarily use the app as my remote, so this is unfortunate.

Another Update 10/15/22: Was working until now. Crashes on opening in iOS 16. DOA. And Oppo no longer supports their excellent players anyway, so it’s coming off my phone.
Update 5/28/17: working better now, seems my player was the culprit for most (not all) of the crashes. However, this app is a memory pig. I just discovered that it gobbled 16 gigabytes!! Original zero star review: Cannot get the app to run for more than a few seconds. Pity, as it appears to have potential. But like all of Oppo's software and firmware, it was obviously released without adequate testing and QA.

Please update your unusable app, for a product less than 5 years off market. All we need is for it actually run on the latest OS. You promised us this.
IOS still crashes
App still crashing on IOS iPhone 6s Plus . Terrible!
Crash upon start-up
Using an iPhone 13 Pro and iOS 15.4.1 the app crashes on start up. Using the same iOS release on an iPad the app works.
Hopefully this is an iOS issue and fixed in the next release because I doubt this app will be updated.

Always on dark mode I want but always bright mode I get. Also, it always seems to restart. Just stay on at least for an hour. Everything I own is totally up-to-date, except for this app. 😬
Crashes with latest ios
It would've been nice if Oppo Digital had given us UDP 205 owners a heads up that they weren't going to update the app any longer. We could’ve chosen to stick with an earlier ios. Well, it’s way too late for that, but I have written their customer support, beseeching them to consider updating the app at least one more time. I would even go so far as to leave one of my devices at the workable ios and make it a dedicated 205 controller if that was done. For 3rd party developers, heres a niche you could fill: I would gladly pay for an app that fills the need.

App will not run
As much as I like the oppo 205 disc player, it’s quite frustrating that the app doesn’t work. It crashes immediately and, imo, shouldn’t be included in the App Store.
What is with this app?
I’d love to know why this app works on an iPhone se but won’t open up on my iPhone XR.

I upgraded my iPhone and the app stopped working. Before the upgrade it would work flawless.

This should not even be called an app. It’s just a waste of time and a little storage space in the App Store, that comes with a small amount of free sadness and disappointment.
Updated the firmware on my udp205, downloaded and installed the app. Opened it up, started the process of finding the player - which appeared to work. For about 3 seconds. Then the app closed. Tried to open it, closed again. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same thing. Also restarted the player. Just a waste of time, and unfortunately lowered my opinion of Oppo a little. It’s unfortunate they don’t sell disc players anymore, but this seems like a mechanism for the company, or at least their app development person, to extend their middle finger to their (former) customers.

Please update for ios14
Love my Oppo players, and I was disappointed when the company opted to abandon these devices. But I really hope they will continue to support those of us who invested in their products. I routinely use my UDP 205 to play hi-Res music via USB. The iOS remote app has been a terrific tool for this without the need to use tv to select files (and avoid display burn-in). But as noted by others, the app crashes immediately upon opening with recent iOS updates. Please, please consider updating the Oppo app to return functionality to our iPhones and iPads.
