OptimistPal is a daily practice designed to help you reframe negative thought patterns. It intervenes when you reach for selected apps, offering a brief pause and a guided perspective shift to encourage a more optimistic outlook.
OptimistPal utilizes Apple's Screen Time framework. When you attempt to open a chosen app, OptimistPal steps in with a reframe before allowing access for a user-defined time window, without tracking your activity within those apps.
Yes, you have full control over selecting which apps OptimistPal intervenes with. You can choose as many or as few as you like and change them at any time.
OptimistPal provides a library of short, grounded perspective shifts for common negative thoughts such as worst-case spirals, comparison, cynicism, and feelings of inadequacy. It also offers secular, grounded affirmations upon completion of a reframe.
OptimistPal offers full access to all features through a paid subscription plan, available on a weekly or yearly basis. The app itself is free to download.
Subscriptions can be managed by the user, and auto-renewal can be turned off by navigating to your App Store Account Settings after purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
