Great App

Routing is great, keeps time frames, easily transferred from scheduling program into Optimoroute. Highly recommend!

Totally non sense

OptimoRoad sets the route so irrationally that it can drive you crazy. It has to be a loop, it must be a circle or something — I don’t understand why it does that.

It’s ok

Dropping pins in the wrong location makes the start navigation button not worth using most of the time so I just type the name of the place in an actual gps and save myself a complete headache as this app has flaws . Also it’s been not saving pictures

Works Great

App is good and responsive for the driver!
What I don’t like about the website though is that it’s not simple to move around my orders that way I want them. It makes you use the timeline but then it doesn’t work when the driver hours are off etc.
I would like it work more like Route4planner I think it works better to set the route but I do like the app more for the drivers!

Dont work him will not pay you

Stay away its a scam !

Still havent fixed bugs

App works fine but whats the point of selecting a default map app if it constantly goes back to apple maps. And every time i sign an order after taking a picture it just shows a white screen and i have to resubmit it. These are bugs that have been around since i started to use the app over 2 years ago and havent been fixed

Refresh

Gotta fix the refresh on this app. When the route is finished it should be able to return to the activation screen. I keep having to delete and redownload to input a new activation code. Sometimes it will return to the activation screen in its own, but most of the time it does not

Need fixing

App is ok but if a driver has 2 routes on the same day then we have to delete the app and download it again and go through all the settings again, please make it so that when we put in the activation key and are done with orders then we can put another activation key

Response from developer

Hi Janaab, We do have a “Return to Depot” option, which allows dispatchers to automatically plan 2 or more routes a day per driver - all using the same driver app and activation key. Please contact us at support@optimoroute.com and we’d be happy to walk you through using the feature - including planning 2 routes for only select drivers.

Always have to delete

And reinstall because of how poorly it was developed

Would delete it if I could

Company uses it to stalk drivers, even during their time off. Company says that all you have to do is put it “off-duty” but it’s been proven that’s a lie, they still collect data from you the whole time. And they want ALL the data. GPS, precise GPS, and motion data? They don’t need that. The app developers are just doing what they need to do they can sell their software to companies. The driving companies use it as they choose, but beware that they are still getting your data. Even if you switch to “off-duty”

Response from developer

Hi Mik, Thanks for the feedback. Let us clarify, we do not track your location when you’re off duty - we absolutely respect your privacy and understand your concern. OptimoRoute is designed for drivers and dispatchers to maximize coordination and analytics. Without the location permissions, the app would effectively stop tracking locations and the dispatcher would get incorrect or missing data. The reason we need location permissions set to “Always” is because our app typically runs in the background when drivers are using other apps in parallel (e.g. the navigation app). That said, when you change your app status to Off Duty or manually shut down the app, it does indeed stop location tracking. Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out to us at support@optimoroute.com if you have any further questions!

No numbers on map?!

They removed the numbers on the map overview, making a huge benefit of the app now useless. A hundred dots scattered on a map doesn’t correspond to anything now, and you can’t even tell the direction of the route you’ll be driving. Good luck if you hit a road closure, school zone, or accident, and just blindly go about your day.

Update: they responded (which was nice) noting that numbers do not populate if you have more than 100 stops, which is still backwards to me. We tried breaking up a route with 108 stops into two routes so that we the map is useful. But you need to make sure you can send the second route to the driver app after they finish the first. Couldn’t find a way to switch between or view multiple route options in the app.

Response from developer

Yes, when you have over 100 stops a day, numbers aren't visible on the pins. Otherwise nothing has changed with the display. We are continually working on app improvements though and would love to hear about your workflow and how we might help. Please contact us at +1 855 338 2838 or support@optimoroute.com - we really value your feedback! Update: Thank you for following up! We're not kidding about wanting to help you with this: there are ways to more easily navigate through the stops even if you can't see the stop numbers. But it would be good to go over on a call or screenshare. What's more, there are multiple ways to break a large route up - and the best way for you depends on your use case. Contact us at support@optimoroute.com, we'll go over your options and make sure you have a great driver experience!

Terrible

App is terrible. Several tech issues. My job uses it to stalk us

Response from developer

Let’s talk! Our app is designed to be specifically un-glitchy. If you are having trouble, let us help make sure you are set up for the most seamless experience. OptimoRoute helps companies plan efficient routes for all drivers at once with added features for Customer Notifications, Proof of Delivery and more. It’s designed to help drivers and dispatchers get more done with less effort, so businesses can be more successful, everyone gets home earlier and can focus on their lives outside of work! The tracking only works when you’re On Duty - so feel free to switch it off when you’re on a break or clocked out. But the feature helps your customers get accurate arrival times so they don’t need to call you or the dispatcher to find out where their technician or delivery is. Lean in to it! We know you’re going to love it.

Love it

Been using it for nearly 2 years now and couldn’t run our business without it. Love the customer notifications. They know where their order is and how long before it’s delivered giving us a higher level of customer service.

Fantastic app

OptimoRoute is the bees knees, slick app and a great companion site to plan orders.

Fair pricing with a great product, keep up the good work 👍👍

Been using OptimoRoute since....

We have used OptimoRoute since March 19, right at the beginning of the original COVID-19 lock down in the UK.

Planning routes is easy, the text service etc is great.

It is quite pricey, for 3 drivers it’s around £105 a month (plus text message costs), but the efficiency of the routes and the time saved by not doing it myself is much easier.

Some times the routes could be better, but it is very very easy to amend a route.

Support?

What support. Called hours ago with questions how to use the application and haven’t yet to hear back from anyone. No phone number to be found. Looked promising but no support doesn’t work for us.

Could be great

The Optimo system could be great, but some massive flaws let it down. Constantly splitting customer orders and not optimising route efficiency. Report exported for the drivers is lacking and there is no way to change this. Day to day system doesn’t function smoothly and you constantly need to copy & delete orders. Would avoid unless you want a massive headache trying to plan routes.

Doesn’t work, support doesn’t answer.

Keeps dropping orders from the route. Drivers are stuck on the side of the road not know where to go next because this is so unreliable.

Don’t get this

Don’t bother looking for a RoadWarrior alternative here.
This app won’t function unless you type in an activation code.
Worthless.

The connection between the app and gps

This app is and will be a helpful tool to anyone who uses it. My only struggle is when it sends my drivers to the wrong address and wrong street. We input the address and coordinates for the location of each delivery. Once inputted into the computer, the app will send them out but to either a different location or behind the building. We have to actually manually enter the address on the gps to get to the right location. When delivering to places 30 minutes to an hour away, my drivers are left in limbo so to speak without the right places to go. I have contacted someone about the app but I never heard anything pass my routes. Hopefully, the developer will have this problem rectified with time or any other issues. All and All great app!!
