No export of audiobook

The app would be a winner if there was a way to export the audio book to mp3 .It will be great if an export to mp3 was added.

100 page limit

Probably works fine but has an arbitrary limit of 100 pages.

Good but some questions to the developer.

I really like the clarity of voices and the speed settings. Sometimes converting issues but generally it’s good! Is there a way to bookmark where I last listened or am I missing it? When I come back to listen it didn’t save where I last listened? Also it doesn’t allow me to listen say for example half way through a section, but I need to listen from the beginning of it?

Work fine when it actually works, but too many bugs

I purchased the $8.99/mo plan and immediately the app stopped working, kept not recognizing I have a subscription so I can't upload anything new, and the "restore" button functionality simply doesn't work. I even tried to click Signup for trial and even that button functionality didn't work. App is useless, cancelling my sub

I work in a place that has me reviewing tons of PDFs and this has changed the rate at which I can digest information. Giving me the full and summarized options is amazing. I’ve tried others but this is the absolute best!

Game changing PDF Reader, better than competitors

There are definitely kinks to work out with this app but unlike competitors they take advice from their users and actively develop on it. Customer service is great and the UI is basic but intuitive. I’m looking forward to seeing where this app goes!

Nothing longer than one page works

Totally useless app, will not upload anything longer than one page. Wasted time setting it up I could have spent studying.

Sorry to hear that you had issues. We would like to help! If you email us at support@trurecord.com we can review your pdf uploads and fix the underlying issue. There are a subset of journal formats that we currently working on that the current app struggles to parse.

Free, but 50 page limit???

Am I missing something? This app is advertised as a way to convert PDFs into audiobooks--there's a limit to 50 pages though. Most books I have (and other people have) are much more than 50 pages, so I thought, okay, maybe one has to pay for the app to do more... no? Nothing. Useless app under these conditions. Maybe advertise your app as a PDF reader for people reading shorter things, like medical journal articles.

Hi there, following your comment we have pushed an update to increase the page limit to 125 pages. The primary use case for Oration is research articles and we may have been biased as to page length based on our teams academic fields. Hope that improves the value for your use case! Thanks for using the app.

Works as intended

I’m a big fan of summarized notes. I try to keep up with research as much as I can. This app helps me do just that. Amazing!

Awesome for Reading Papers on the Go

If you spend a lot of time in the car like most of America this app is for you! It allows me to listen to articles and white papers like they’re audiobooks while I’m stuck in traffic. Super helpful

Doesn't work; no documentation

I love the simple interface; there is a single "upload" button. But using it only generates an error for me. Without any documentation or help to know WHY it is generating an error, it's worthless to me.

This is a GAME CHANGER!

Oration is an absolute game changer! As a professional with an incredibly hectic schedule, this app has transformed the way I engage with scientific publications. Converting PDFs into audiobooks is a stroke of genius, allowing me to seamlessly absorb valuable information on the go. The clarity of narration is impeccable. Five stars for making my busy life a little easier and for bringing innovation to the realm of academic consumption. Highly recommend to anyone looking to optimize their learning while on the move!

To the developers, I have a few suggestions that I hope to see in future iterations:
- the page refresh isn’t very intuitive (you have to pull down the screen to refresh to get an update on the PDF processing status)
- split out PDFs that are still processing versus audiobooks that have completed processing into different pages on the app

Love it

As a scientist, I need to read a ton of papers daily, which is a hassle. This app has been a game-changer for me. It helps me identify papers that are going to be helpful to my research. Its ability to generate detailed summaries for each paper section is amazing. These summaries have become my go-to, especially during commutes. I love that to do my job, I don’t always need to be tied to a computer or drown in printed papers. I also use it for journal clubs when I don’t have time to read the entire paper but want to know what’s going on and be ready to discuss the science! Fantastic app
