Orbit 2048: Number Puzzle Game

HOW IT PLAYS Twelve slots form a ring. Tap a blinking gap and your orb rolls into it. Land it beside a matching number and the two fuse into one orb worth double. Set the ring up well and a single throw sets off a cascade, where every link of the combo pays more than the one before it. The orb resting in the center is always the next one you will throw, so you can plan a move ahead instead of reacting to one. The ring holds twelve orbs and not one more. Fill it and the run is over. Reach 2048 to clear it. TWO WAYS TO PLAY CLASSIC: no clock, no pressure. Play until the ring is full. Pass certain score marks and 2X SCORE opens a short window where everything you earn counts twice. TIME ATTACK: sixty seconds on the board. Every merge buys one more. Ice turns up faster here, so hesitation costs you the run. WHAT STANDS IN YOUR WAY FROZEN ORB: shows its number but refuses to merge. Merge right next to it and the ice cracks open. CHAINED ICE: locked under chains. Each hit strips one layer, then a last hit cracks the ice underneath. DOUBLE CHAIN: two chains crossed over each other. Three hits, no shortcuts, and it only turns up deep into a run. DESTROYER: carries no number at all. Drop it and it strikes a random neighbor. A plain orb is wiped off the ring; a frozen or chained one loses a single layer. SHUFFLE: scrambles the two orbs on either side of it. Values and locks swap at random, and now and then it hands you a free merge. STONE: no number, no merging, and shuffling cannot budge it. It squats in its slot for ten throws before crumbling on its own. Only a destroyer clears it early.
