Pretty good app, but baits you into the subscription.

I had fun with this app and ran into very few glitches, but the app lets you do one singular walk. After that one walk it lets you know that you have to pay a subscription to use anything. I would've preferred to know that beforehand because I wouldn't have used it at all then.

I understand it costs to keep an app running but it's bad business to trick somebody like that. I would've been willing to upgrade to an ad free version with more features if there was a free version with ads and less options like other apps.

Pure Genius

Simple app with a great purpose. Gets you healthy and lets you know how far you need to go to get there. Quite simply Brilliant, just needs to be able to put route avoidance in.

Response from developer

Thank you, that's really kind. Good news on route avoidance: it's already in there. Go to Settings → Navigation → Places to Avoid and you can mark areas you'd rather not walk through, and Orbit will route around them. Any other feedback, do get in touch.

Glitchy

Everything looks great but after selecting your distance, the map feature just keeps showing a bunch of possible routes but never stopping so you can choose which one you’d like to do.

Response from developer

Thanks for flagging this — and sorry it was confusing. What you were seeing was Orbit still working: it tries different routes until it finds one that matches the distance you asked for, and until then it shows the candidates it's testing. It isn't a list to pick from, and it should never have looked like one. That's on us to make clearer. The next update will do this. In the meantime, giving it a few more seconds should get you to a route. Thanks for the review — this was a useful one.

Good until it gets lost

There are days during your route it knows where you are and it works but more often that not it thinks you’re way off route - several streets over from where you actually are.
