Orchard - Plant the Grid

One tree in every row. One in every column. One in every plot. And no two trees may ever touch. That is the whole puzzle, and the rest is working out where they go. The board is divided into coloured plots, drawn with a real boundary rather than left to colour alone. Marking ground as cleared matters as much as planting: most of the reasoning here is about ruling squares out, so cleared ground is a mark of its own. EVERY ORCHARD IS SOLVED BEFORE YOU SEE IT Each one is worked out by the app using reasoning alone, and checked to have exactly one answer. Anything that could not be finished without guessing was thrown away. That checking happens before release, not on your phone, which is why the app opens instantly. HINTS THAT SHOW THEIR WORKING A hint names its reason and marks the squares that make it follow, so you can check it rather than trust it. Green where a tree goes, orange where ground is being ruled out, blue for the reasoning behind it. A LIBRARY OF 125 ORCHARDS Sixty at 6 by 6, forty at 8 by 8, twenty-five at 10 by 10. Every one verified. This is a library rather than an endless generator, and it says so honestly. ONE SHARED ORCHARD A DAY Everyone gets the same daily orchard, and finishing it builds a streak. An optional reminder, once a day at most, never a badge. ORCHARDS WITHOUT END Finish the library and Endless opens: pick a size from five up to nine and the app lays out a fresh solved orchard on the spot, as many as you like. SIX QUIET THEMES Orchard, Night Garden, Ember Dusk, Salt Flats, Still Water and Quiet Stone. Three light, three dark, and the whole app changes with them.
