Horrible, crashes instantly
Worst app I ever purchased. I can't even add an entry in the app without it crashing instantly. Complete waste of money.

Nice app for orchidophiles, problems since update
I just downloaded the app today and really like it. Now I just want to see more! It would be great if you could arrange your orchids into groups and sort by the different parameters (mounted/potted). It seems like you should be able to collapse your collection down by genus. I would also like to see the picture as a thumbnail on the collection list. Really nice app and I look forward to any updates.

I'm disappointed I paid for this app and it is no longer being maintained. It doesn't size to fit iPhone 6 screen and adding photos to an orchid listing doesn't work correctly any more.

PASS ~ DOES NOT DELIVER
This is a poorly put together app with a strikingly poor UI. The app DOES NOT DELIVER the needed organizational structure that is necessary for growers of countless Orchids. The app needs far, far more effort and skill if it is to be worth any end-users' time, energy, and money.
It's been a great app
I've been quite happy with the app. But with the latest update it won't open. Please fix.
New update problem
I love this app, and so was disappointed when I installed the app update. I do NOT have I06 yet, and have a 4s. The App does not even open. I don't want to delete and re-install as I would lose all of my previously entered information.

Serious grower? Don't buy this App!
This app has very limited info about orchids. Useless to even novice growers. The ability to create your own collection is okay but the app should be free. Do NOT buy this App! Not good at any price.
Great App
I have been looking for a way to file information about my extensive orchid collection and, so far, this is the best I have found. I like the ability to store photos and add notes. Would like to see a way to view all of the photos and click on it to find the info that matches it. Also would be nice to have a slide show of the photos. At any rate, this is great way to store my orchid collection info. Thanks!

Good app, easy to use
Good app. Highly recommend it for those just getting their collections going but aren't in the 'big leagues' yet of online databases. Easy to use, could be better with more orchid-type culture notes (missing some major branches) and Perhaps and interactive calendar to track blooming/water/growth cycles?

Nice so far
Have had the app for 3 months or so, I like it. Enjoy having pictures link up to listing. I also like the minor tweak you did to make entering a name easier (i.e. Not having to delete 'name of orchid' in field). I enjoy it and it is a good way to keep track of my collection-80+ and counting. Very basic culture info; might consider a link to American Orchid Society AOS for additional culture info. Like this app!

Pretty good app.
I really like this app. Easy to use. I do wish I could place more than one photo in the file. One of the flower & one of the plant. I would also like to see info on other orchids than just the standard varieties. I would recommend this app. Part 2: I have had this app for a few months now. As much as I like the concept of the notebook, the size of my collection makes using it more than difficult. I've been in contact with the company that put out the app & they have been great! But so far no new updates to help with my issue. I would still recommend this app for small collections.

Fun for the orchid collector
This app was recommended to me by a fellow orchid collector. This app is really good. It gives me a fun quick way to keep track of my orchid collection. I really like that I can add photos of my orchids. It would be great if there was a gallery type view of the orchids.

The new version indeed has a photo update capability. I like the way it is implemented: it let's you either take new photo or choose an existing one from your photo album. I like it that it let's you position it in a white frame. Would be nice to be able add more than one photo per plant but I'm happy with what we got.
One note on exported .csv file. If you make long notes for each plant and separate with sentences with "return" key, it parses .csv file in excel funny.

2. Backup data with ".csv" file is nice, but it may even be better to be able to sync the data back to iPhone in case something is lost.
3. It may be nice for the user to be able to hide or show certain categories from the orchid collection info. For example, if "Not Fragrant" selected, then hide the "what is the fragrance?" or the purchase date may or may not be that important to see.
4. Since this app is called "Orchid Notebook," it's capabilities could be expanded into a "Journal' where we could record progress (such as repotting date and info, change of growing location, any ailments, etc.) of a specific orchid by date. At the moment there is a "notes" section where one could add such progress, but I think it might be more user friendly if it had a calendar type of interface. If we had such feature it would even be natural to upload additional pictures for a particular event (orchid repotting, first spike, leaf sunburn, crown or root rot, etc).
Overall, I am pleased with the app so far. Very simple to use.

Great app for keeping track of your Orchid collection.
First off..I was stoked to see there was an app for Orchids. This app provides a good place to store detailed information about your Orchid collections and get basic information about the different types/ Orchid care. However, the glaring void in this app hands down is that you can not upload photos of your own Orchids....I was really surprised / bummed that you could not do this! Maybe the next update will provide this functionality that is lacking in the current version. By having the screen shot of a "photo" leads potential buyers to think they can have pictures of their own Orchids.
