About
Eating abroad is half the fun of travel, until the menu arrives and you can't read a word. Order Abroad turns any menu into one you understand, and lets the whole table order together.
SNAP THE MENU
Take a photo or pick up to six from your library. In seconds the whole menu is laid out by section, every dish with a clear name in your language, the original name, the price and a short description. Several pages? Keep snapping; new pages join the same menu.
YOUR LANGUAGE
Menus are translated into English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese. Dish names are explained, not just spelled out: "Bacalhau à Brás" becomes "Salt cod with shoestring potatoes and egg". Someone at the table prefers another language? Tap the globe to switch the menu; switching is free.
ORDER TOGETHER
Tap Invite and let friends scan the code. They don't need the app or an account: they enter a nickname in the browser, see the same menu in their own language and add what they want. You see everyone's order, by dish or by person.
SHOW THE WAITER
When you're ready, open For the waiter: every dish in large original text with its quantity. Show it or read it out, and tick each dish off as you go.
ALSO
· Search by translated or original name
· Total and per-person amounts; type a price for dishes marked "market price"
· Works offline: your order stays on the phone and syncs when you're back online
PRICING
Each menu read counts as one use, however many photos it has; a failed read doesn't count. New users get 10 free reads, and more can be bought in packs on the Me tab. Browsing, ordering, inviting friends and showing the waiter are always free.
PRIVACY
No sign-up needed: no phone number, no email. Sign in with Apple only if you want to keep your reads and history when you change phones. Menu photos are used for that one read and not kept on our server. You can delete your account and all data in the app at any time.
