About

You say you know your favorite music. Cute! Prove it. Ordinalist takes a playlist, album, or discography and makes you decide between two choices at a time. You pick the one you like more. Then do it again. And again. And several more times because apparently you needed 147 songs in this playlist. While you’re busy having an existential crisis over which track you’ve heard 600 times is better, Ordinalist keeps track of every choice and turns them into a complete ranking from favorite to least favorite. No star ratings, no scoring songs out of 10 like you’re judging Olympic gymnastics, and no deciding whether something feels like an 8.7 or an 8.6. Two songs. Pick one. That’s the whole deal. The easy choices go quickly, but the hard ones make you question everything you’ve ever claimed about yourself. Eventually, you get the thing you came for: an actual, definitive ranking of your music based entirely on your own decisions. So when your alleged favorite ends up at #14, don’t look at us. You did that. HOW IT WORKS - Pick a playlist, album, or discography to judge - Ordinalist gives you two choices - Pick your favorite - Keep going until everything is ranked - Stare at the results - Disagree with yourself - Rank something else Ordinalist doesn’t decide what you like, but it does keep receipts. Ordinalist includes support for English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

CarPlay and iPhone Duo Support New * CarPlay Support: Your rankings are coming along for the ride. Browse completed rankings and play songs in their ranked order directly from your car’s display using your Apple Music subscription. Discography rankings remain on your iPhone since they rank albums rather than individual songs. * iPhone Duo Support: Ordinalist is built for iPhone Duo. Open, fold, or close your device during a ranking, and every page adapts to the hinge without losing your place. * Rank in Any Position: Hold your device like a book, and each song gets its own page. Set it down like a laptop for artwork above large Choose buttons, or stand it like a tent for side-by-side comparisons. * Layouts for Larger Screens: Album, playlist, and results pages now display artwork alongside track lists, with actions conveniently placed in a side toolbar. * A Bigger Reveal: Finish a ranking with iPhone Duo closed, and your results will wait until you open it. Some moments deserve the big screen. * New Widget Size: The Ordinalist widget now supports the extra-large portrait size.
