Excellent software - simple or as complex as you want

I have had this for over 10 years on my iPad, iPhone Mac and PC. That’s what I love best - cross-platform compatibility. There are too many versions. I’d simplify into personal/small business and enterprise/team offerings. Just two versions.

Fantastic!

This app has tons of options and it is possible to visualize projects and tasks clearly. Once you get used to the design, switching between desktop and any other device is really a seamless experience. 10/10

Not What it Used to Be

I have been a happy user of Organize Pro for the last several years. The latest version, unfortunately, stresses form over substance. Visually beautiful, it provides inconsistent results when syncing across platforms (iOS to Windows). I was never a power user, so cannot comment on the more advanced features for team collaboration, but if the data cannot be trusted, what is the sense? Multiple emails to customer service all went unanswered. I have deleted the program.

Opening screen is always Monday!

The day on the dark "Welcome" screen is always Monday and always has the same quote by Albert Einstein about staying with problems longer. When you try to submit a ticket in the support section it sends you into a frustrating loop and their doesn't seem to be a way to access the users group.
It seems to be a good app these things are bothersome.

No sync, no resolution, wasted money for me

I use the Mac version, the Windows version and the iOS versions and none of them will sync. I've created 3 separate accounts and none of them will sync (thought the first one might be corrupted). Nothing I try will get them to sync, so what good is having multiple platforms if they don't sync. Tried submitting a service ticket on their website and it crashes every time, no matter which platform I use to submit the form. These folks are having problems, so stay away until you see updates that say they have the sync problem fixed. If you just need a single incident of the app, it's pretty good and has some nice features, just terrible sync.

Small app for big projects

This app is equally great for lists of lists, as it is a support for those use the GTD method of managing multiple projects. Its capacity to handle much bigger complex teamwork projects looks good, but I've not had a chance to test this out yet. A great strength of this app is The ability to set a host of attributes for each individual task (as many or as few as you like) - allowing equally as many ways to categorise or view your work, some examples include: by person, date (deadlines and/ or review), location, project, priority level, % completed, type of action.
If I'm busy in the middle of something else, anything new I think of can be jotted quickly into the 'inbox' for further action and categorisation (if needed) later.
The functionality of the web-based version is perhaps slightly better, but the iPad version looks better and is probably easier to use overall.

Disappointing

Organize Pro looked good on paper. I upgraded to get the ability to hide sub projects and move things around - as is shown on the detailed manuals on website. Sadly, the downloaded program looks nothing like what is promised. So, money down the drain!

Took a while to understand the potential but now...

Update:
Still good but don't know why they took the calendar view away to select dates. Replacement of having the rolling date view is flash but ultimately pointless. A user needs to see the dates in context of a calendar to be useful

*********************

When I first downloaded it I was after a good To Do list. As a result this seemed unwieldy. Trying it again a year later after learning about GTD I realise now how good it is. Nothing like it on the market.

If they could somehow make the GTD methodology more accessible in the support then I think even more people would use it.

Things to add or improve would be more skins, as the current ones are limited, and use of graphs to represent the tasks being done or completed.

Not working on all platforms

This app used to be fantastic. I can still create tasks on my Mac but I can seldom add any dates (start, review, etc). When I can add them I can only pick certain minutes (00 or 05 but none of the others). I have to go to my iPad to set the time / duration.

This approach of entry on two different devices just to enter one task is useless. I think I'll contact Apple and request a refund... at $50+ for the Mac version this is the most expense useless app I've ever purchased.

Great App!

This app allows you to easily sync your PC and iPad with no monthly charge. Comprehensive and well thought out, it does it all: reminders, recurrent events and tasks, notes, attachments, priorities, flags, GTD, projects, sub-tasks, and more. Highly recommended.

Almost there

I migrated to this product from Omnifocus and am very impressed with layout and functionality. For me, the big let down is viewing on my iMac and MacBook Pro retina - the graphics are almost fuzzy and text is not sharp. This clearly was developed for a lower resolution and needs to be sharpened up. Once this is achieved I think this will be world class product

Great task app,

Life save works really well and sync with my ipad, iphone macbook and imac at work. would be 5 stars if it had full calendar view

Good task organiser

Able to categorise tasks and write extensive notes. It's a shame you cannot create milestone tasks or Precursor tasks to enabling ordering of tasks. The review dates do help - but not when there are multiple related tasks

Excellent Organizer

Works well on iPad, iPhone and Windows 7 PC. Syncs well with all devices. Highly recommended.

Brain Waves

Having spent time working with a comprehensive manual, running various tests, then clearing explanations within the application, I have been able commence effectively building a comprehensive appraisal of endless red departmental tape, I have encountered with Services and Authorities over countless years. I can see real potential for this program, and wish the developers of the application every success in future development. I would like to see access to Adobe Reader, on a two-way basis if possible.
I wrote this before the weekend, and got ticked off by Apple auto-response for attempting to write a review before having used it:-

I haven't purchase or tried this application or it's associates yet, but having had a quick breeze (don't skip this application without reading the comprehensive tutorial on the website,) think it must deserve all five stars.

Why? For having understood life is not that simple, options for the variants are so essential to organise efficiently, so now I am going to buy it!

Works well with a calendar

This app works well if you already have a calendar app. It is a way to keep track of all the to dos generated from projects, one time tasks. The beauty of it is the review date and due date functions to help you stay on top of tasks before the last minute. Also lets you sort by context (if you follow GTD). I found it useful to know when to do things and not have to think about until that time or context arrived. Helped me organize and feel on top of a very complex and variable schedule. I have many projects on the go at one time. I need it to stay focused.

Great App but....

I really like this app to manage my busy life as a manager. It is more flexible and complete than any app I have found so far.
BUT
* It can be slow and stick for a moment or two.
* It has some drag and drop but not from project to project like it needs.
* It will crash if you do too many things in a short amount of time.

I still use it everyday till something better comes along (if they don't fix this one) But I hope this gets fine tuned and maybe other features are added as I would rater stick with this.

Excellent App IOS and PC

Works well and syncs across IOS and PC versions with cloud sync. Superbly suited for GTD methods, meaning its a complex app. Casual organizers may be easier to use, but if you really use GTD methods, Organize Pro nails it.

PC version runs very smooth. The IOS version is slow and clunky on my iPad. Hoping authors can streamline the mobile app very soon with an update. If you only use a mobile device, you might pass on Organize. It's a slow go only on iPad. You need a full computing platform to do the heavy lifting. Use the mobile device in support.

Like this best!

I've tried many many PIMs and like Organize BEST because it provides enough options to allow me to work how I want to work without having to hack my personal process. I use it on iPhone, iPad, and windows -- and particularly appreciate that all versions work the same so that I can seamlessly switch between them.

Things to improve:

* Windows version crashes on startup EVERY TIME now. Some update changed something. This is a big big problem for me.
* Repeating tasks are cumbersome to use -- a time waster
* Note editor behaves unpredictably when cutting and pasting

Couldn't Make It Work!

The base iPad app has limited capability with respect to repeating tasks. I have tasks that require other than the usual daily, weekly, monthly that iPad can't address.

I purchased this application as it advertises the ability to handle many different patterns of repetition. On using the application, I found that it appears to be very strong in this area. However, take a daily task. When today is checked off, tomorrow should appear or at least be there. Whenever and by whatever method I tried to check off today always resulted in the task going away completely, as near as I can tell. This is in spite of my reading the manual section on this repeatedly.

Now, this problem may be a lack of understanding or "operator idiocy", but I have deleted this application and replaced it with something cheaper and less able that will handle repetition. This may be an outstanding piece of software, but since I couldn't make it do what I need, I have to give it the lowest rating.
