Orrery - Sky & Hours

Orrery is an astrolabe for your wrist. It shows where the Sun, Moon and planets stand in the zodiac at this moment, seen from where you are, and which planet rules the current planetary hour. THE DISC • A true astrological wheel: the ascendant at the left edge, every sign a full 30°, every aspect at its real angle, and the midheaven where it actually falls. • The Sun, Moon, Mercury through Pluto, the lunar nodes, and retrograde motion. • Aspects between bodies, with a choice of orb models. • Seven house systems: Whole Sign, Equal, Placidus, Koch, Regiomontanus, Campanus and Porphyry. • Tropical zodiac, or sidereal with the Lahiri, Fagan–Bradley or Krishnamurti ayanamsa. • Turn the Digital Crown to move the sky through time. THE HOURS • Planetary hours from the Sun's actual rising and setting at your location, in Chaldean order. • Complications put the ruling planet and the time left in its hour on your watch face. • Where the Sun doesn't rise or set, Orrery says so and shows how it computed the hours instead of inventing them. ACCURATE Planet positions are verified to within one arcminute against reference ephemerides, which are themselves checked against JPL Horizons. The planetary hours are checked against an independent published calculator. IPHONE A companion iPhone app shows the same sky with room for the full aspect list, the whole day's hours and time scrubbing. Your chart settings carry between phone and watch. The watch app also works on its own. PRIVATE No account, no ads, no analytics. Orrery never connects to the internet. Your location is used on the device to compute the sky, and it never leaves it.
