My opinions on the game
Overall entertaining game so I’m questioning snowball and I still hate Napoleon and why is squealer so cute? Oh my God why? Anyways, I would like more endings and more choices, please.

Love the game but your bug fixes didn’t fix any of the problems that it claims too! Which is too bad because it’s a good game!

with this game you will find out what type it leader you are, period! for the creators that get to read this, infinite gratitude for the creativity in this marvelous adventurous game. it’s complex and new for my 24 yr old brain. also you have my loyalty as a player and i’m glad my intuition told me to purchase this game💜💜💜

Very Good But
After playing the game I realized that it wasn’t as I expected, a lot actions you make give a big impact and a lot of detail. The game seems to hard tho as once in a while someone dies or has to get chased out, and the game gets very repetitive with bringing in the hay and what to do with wealth. Because of this repeat it gets very boring and can’t keep playing. But this game is still very good and much like the book and film.

Great story, difficult gameplay
I really appreciate the premise of this game. It’s a faithful adaptation of the book where you can make some big changes. The art is fantastic. Unfortunately, the underlying management sim gets a bit repetitive. I wish I could play the story without having to micromanage bringing in the hay year after year. Relatedly, the game is so difficult that it feels like everyone dies every time despite my best efforts, leading to more repetition. Well worth checking out, but I’m tired of it now.

Just crashes
I have yet to play the game because it crashes immediately upon selecting New Game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and I have the system requirements.
Can’t believe I paid real $$$ for this!!!!
What an absolute disaster of a game. Turn based text game. Reminds me of some of the games I played when BBS were a thing, except Barren Real s Elite was fun to play.
Pleasantly Surprised
I've been known to play interactive fiction games from time to time, which is what I expected when downloading this game. In most interactive fiction games, choice is little more than an illusion, but in this game, even mundane choices can impact the direction of the game. The addition of the journal was a stroke of genius. Without it, I would probably have set the game aside after my first completion. Since it's based off of an existing story, I had assumed that there would be little deviation from the plot, not so. There more than a few different endings, and the journal lists what has to happen to trigger this ending or that achievement, though it does not tell you how to get there, which isn't always obvious. The entire story is narrated, and the voice actor is perfect. Usually I mute games with excessive spoken dialogue, but I find that it adds to the overall enjoyability of this game.

Great game, but a little buggy
As other reviews have said, this game has some bugs. My windmill was destroyed twice (storm, blamed on Snowball who had already left; humans the second time, just after they killed Napoleon, which I was not sad about), and Napoleon came back from the dead to tell how we should change the flag to plain green, because it was originally designed by the traitor Snowball. Confusing to say the least.
Still, it is interesting to play through, and has encouraged me to buy its namesake novel, and actually read it this time.

Interesting but pretty lazy
An interesting adaptation of the source material, but the conversion into gameplay makes very little sense and it’s hard to tell what you’re doing or accomplishing.

Still buggy I’m afraid. Windmill continues to be destroyed twice, dialogue repeated several times, and impossible to prevent Napoleon taking control other than having him die early. Yes I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, yes I’ve installed the updates. Still the same problems. Please resolve!
On Animal Farm (Kinks Song)
This is a really cool little game interpretation of Orwell’s Animal Farm. The sounds and graphics are a great ode to the book. I love the interface and seeing how the animals decisions for ruling their animal revolution seem to inexorably lead to autocracy. Love it.

However, the game needs to be replayed several times to get all possible endings; rehearing the same earlier parts over and over again quickly becomes tedious.
I like the simple game controls but the lack of clarity around what the consequences of each decision will be, or even, what exactly the very limited information about the state of the farm actually means, makes this less of a strategy game and more about guesswork.
Also, a number of bugs: characters die, and then resurrect to make comments, die twice, or are suddenly dead (and we’re talking major characters like Snowball here) without seeming to have actually died.
All that said, didn’t stop me trying to get all the solutions!

½ a good game
I like that the game is inviting a new generation into understand the dangers of socialism, but the game itself feels only half finished. The “game” aspects aren’t intuitive and not properly explained. Maybe it was rushed out? I think $2.99 or even $1.99 would be more appropriate for iOS. It’s a cool way to experience a book I haven’t read in many years, but it just doesn’t seem polished enough for $6.99

Do you know the enemy who has come in the night and overthrown our windmill?
Somehow it seemed as though the farm had grown richer without making the animals themselves any richer — except, of course, for the pigs and the dogs.
Good recreation but...
...tap through is FAR too slow. Once I’ve read the text I expect to be able to tap to the next text but there’s a wait (I don’t use audio with games...but I guess the delay is because audio has to play through before I can tap for the next bit? I’ve paid - let me tap through as fast as I read. Because of my impatient tapping, it’s also easy to unwittingly make a storyline choice. At the very least, display an icon when users can/should tap again (to move to next text/make a choice).
My issue will get much more annoying as I try to play new scenarios because I’ll have to see the same text again and again so....so......slowly...
Fix this and it’s automatically 50% better.
