App crashing when trying to save the track.
I click on top right to save and it crashes. Completely takes me out of the app. It never used to do this before.

So dope. Wow
Blown away over here. Amazing!!!!
Just a toy
And not a very useful one. Unless you like video game style cheesy upbeat music with little control over the actual music made.
Still a marvelous app !!
Should you get this? Well if you enjoy solid apps, that bring solid joy to your music making ... the YES! Every time I open it up Iβm still amazed at how great it is and how much fun it is to use. A steal at this price. Congrats developers!!!
Abandoned?
Coming up dangerously close to the dreaded β1Yβ since last update, from which few apps return. This needs to be updated for iOS 11. Please developer, do not abandon such a stellar app!
Update***One year later and still no love. Time to pull this app down if itβs not going to be updated.

So Many Possibilities
This is a great app to explore. It is very easy to come up with an idea and then to morph it into something completely different. And then you can use MIDI to control other apps! Lots of fun and very worth it.
So much fun
Very intuitive. Was making great sounding grooves in no time. Still exploring all the possibilities.
Great app for those with a knack for vector lovers! ππππ
However! Needs the AUM and AbletonLINK support so it can play with best. Please hurry, my life depends on this soon-to-be update... I know it's probably being approved in AppStore as I type, right?! π£ RIGHT?!? π£π―π―π―π― I can't wait to get my grubby hands on it !!! Like Right NOW!!! ....
Not a fake review: This app is a must!
I love it so far! It's deep. There a ton of settings. I've been just playing around with it so far. Before the iPhone, you would probably spend a heck of a lot more on these types of music programs. This is a no brainer purchase. I just can't believe the quality of apps in general, and this app is among the best. I just can't stop adjusting (well I did stop to write this)...have fun with it!

Evolving Into a Serious Compositional Tool
Oscilab was always a flexible, fun, and an almost immediate creative tool. This update which adds MIDI, and additionally turns Oscilab into a synth controller makes this app quite amazing while retaining its ease of use. Personally, I'd like to see scale templates, various time signatures, wider range of tempo. Perhaps the ability to export MIDI file would also be a useful addition. There's so much to like about this app, and I believe Asa result of this latest update I will be using Oscilab a great deal more to jumpstart compositions and also for live use.

Fantastic Interface plus Midi Out
The layout is very intuitive and you can get going right away. It's a five star app as it has Audiobus support and midi output.
Being able to use waves to generate both midi notes and cc messages as well as being able to specify midi channels and to address virtual midi ports allows you a lot of flexibility and control.

Awesome wave-based melody production, needs a song sequencer
This is a great app to compliment Different Drummer, offering reliable on the fly manipulation of of your melodies with a fairly decent rhythm section included. Each of the melodic parts can be set individually to produce emergent harmonies when each part is brought together and changing the length of the patterns on these does not simply extend the loop but expands the pattern over more measures, allowing for more interesting changes when playing live. This would be particularly useful for building rich chord progressions but as it is currently lacking a proper pattern sequencer the usefulness is somewhat limited to live play. I am happy enough with the addition of Audiobus functionality to bump my rating up to five stars... really an excellent app which has a friendly interface and an interesting approach that makes up for anything it may be lacking. I would still welcome a song sequencer and sample import - that plus make it possible to write percussion in the same way synth/sample parts are written and you have perfection.

Engrosing
I am not usually one who likes limited synthesis syntheizers. Oscilab is not exactly a power synth, having only the basics for sound generation. BUT ...it is a very unique approach to interactive composition and what you can do with what it gives you is totally great. It is a sequencer powerhouse combining sequencing and generative capabilities. For pattern-based composition it is a wonderful instrument. Looking forward to new capabilities in synthesis to broaden the sound palatte and some additional effects.

Powerful for sequencing
This is awesome for triggering sequences live ...but needs a drag and drop time line like the dm1 drum machine.. to complete the live sequencer things coolness Please!... the next update needs this badly! Everything else that's so cool about this thing is screaming for that! Can we say song mode or chain sequence? Peace christo

Great and flawless so far, could be much better though.
Its awesome, it works without crashing 24/7 like other apps, i give it that.
It might just be preference, maybe the beat creation could be a little easier by having an auto-playlist like how pocketband Uloops has it?
If not, then a manual-note place, similar to pocketband?

Fantastic app!
Oscilab is well worth it's price. Intuitive UI holds powerful features. Looks cool, feels cool, and sounds epic! I've downloaded then forgotten many apps, but this one makes the top 10 for me. It's fun to sneak a few minutes of songwriting into the workday. No time is wasted. A moment after tapping the icon, everything is immediately presented and I'm right where I left off. If they add the ability to record live instruments, I'll give them 6 stars. ;)

Great Start, definitely a lot of effort behind it. Excellent Job
This is a great start. No complains. However, several suggestions. If possible;
1- It would be great to have the option to play live via an external MIDI keyboard.
2- The live performance boxes; could we have the option to enlarge one or two so we can be more accurate while playing live.
3- Please add more options to control or custom make your own synth sounds.
4- Is it possible to select and change individual notes? Now you can do a lot but, it would be easier if we could just pick the exact note we want without initially affecting all the other previous notes, or the ones that come right after. Maybe I still have to learn a bit more.
Anyway, thanks for considering the suggestions. Great app.

Excellent but wish it had better export
Very fun and efficient compositional app but I wish it had better export options to get tracks into a DAW ... Ideally apps like this should export a set of 16 or 24 bit WAV files for each "cell" (individual synth/drum sequencer) with a logical file naming scheme indicating the scene and instrument the WAV was exported from, and optional separation of the drum tracks into individual files per drum sound. I think so far you can just record a mix so it's a little tedious to export stems. Also MIDI export would be great because it's a good tool for melody writing, especially if you know some basic music theory.
But despite that it's well worth the price because it's very fast and fun to write grooves on.
