OSS Companion

Outdoor Sensor System (OSS) is a line of wireless sensor products from Tibbo Technology. Capitalizing on decades of Tibbo's experience in designing high-reliability electronics for demanding environments, the OSS was engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions. OSS products do not expose physical buttons to enhance security. All on-site management must be performed through the OSS Companion app, using Near Field Communications (NFC) for authentication and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for data transfers. The app implements: • NFC authentication and password storage • Device management and configuration • Over-the-air firmware updates via BLE The app's UI is optimized for working on challenging installations. Large color-coded buttons facilitate single-hand use, while haptic feedback simplifies interactions with hard-to-reach devices.
