Well Done
This is the first travel related app I've not been disappointed with. I travel at least 4 months every year. Its rare that I even bother with tourist/travel focused apps. They are nothing more than collections of adverts.
I read a good review for this app from a U.K. site so I bought it. It's very good. My Mom was Roman, I initially went there as a child, then again in my pre-teens years and then as an adult. I know Ostia Antica fairly well. This guide will add an expanded dimension to my travels there next month. Ostia Antica is a hidden gem. Like so many other ancient Roman sites that are totally off the tourist trail.
I did run into the red/blue placeholder issue. As the developer's FAQ notes: quit/close the app, Settings>Ostia Antica> set to "Rebuild at Startup", launch app, back to Settings and turn off the rebuild. All images now display. I put these instructions in the review as the developers FAQ is not all that easy to locate.
