About
Your car's screen, finally yours.
Otto fills your car's dashboard with widgets that actually belong there: a
clock in the face you choose, your license plate, and a countdown to the dates
that sneak up on you — inspection, insurance, service.
The Drive Card — one widget, the thing that matters
An 8-inch car screen fits one widget. So this one carries whichever thing is
closest: days to your inspection, kilometres to your service, or your fuel
economy — whichever is nearest gets the big number. There's a button on it to
save your parking spot without setting anything up.
Service by mileage, not just by date
Enter the odometer your next service is due at. Otto counts down from your
fill-ups and tells you when it's close — because your car's service light
doesn't know how you drive.
One dashboard, not five stray widgets
Every Otto widget shares the same surface, the same accent, the same edge. Put
any of them side by side and the screen reads like one designed board instead
of a pile of defaults. The Adaptive theme shifts that surface with the time of
day: amber at dawn, blue at noon, deep navy at night.
Five clock faces
Digital, Analog, Retro LCD, Stacked, Gauge. Pick the accent, the background,
the font, 12h or 24h. Eight ready-made themes if you'd rather not fiddle. Each
widget is set up on its own — put three clocks on your screen, each different.
Your plate, any country
Your license plate on the dashboard, in the style you like — Euro band, black,
white or yellow, with the country code you choose. Not built for one country.
Your car, on the dashboard
Put a photo of your actual car on the widget, with your plate and name over it.
Fuel, at a glance
Log each fill-up and Otto works out your economy, what you've spent this month,
and your odometer — all on one widget.
Never miss inspection again
Enter your inspection, insurance and service dates once. The widget counts
down — red under a week, orange under a month — and Otto reminds you thirty
days out, seven days out, and on the morning itself.
Find your car
When you leave the car, Otto quietly saves where you parked and puts a card on
your Lock Screen. Tap it and walking directions open. It clears itself the next
time you get in.
A welcome when you get in
Otto can greet you through the car speakers the moment the car wakes up —
pick a sound, record your own, or have Otto speak a line you write. It can even
vary by the hour: one greeting in the morning, another at night.
Otto himself
A small car with a face that reads the clock: sleepy at midnight, bright at
noon, headlights on after dark.
Free, with Otto Pro when you want more
The clock, license plate, car dates and parking are free. Otto Pro is a
one-time purchase — no subscription — that unlocks every theme and the custom
designer, all plate styles, the car photo and fuel widgets, and custom sounds.
Buy once, yours forever.
Otto works with CarPlay dashboards and on your iPhone Home Screen and Lock
Screen. Nothing you enter leaves your phone: your plate, your dates and your
parking spot are stored on the device and never uploaded.
Note: the welcome sound and automatic parking save run through the Shortcuts
app. iOS does not let an app create automations for you, so Otto walks you
through the one-time setup in the Setup tab.

What's New in Otto
1.3
August 19, 2026
Nothing new to see in the app this time. Otto's App Store listing is now properly localized, so people searching in their own language can actually find it. Same app, easier to stumble upon. New features are on the way.
