This app does nothing for me everything is ou parcel or something like I searched up pork rib and it said parve and ou like what?!
Maybe I'm not Jewish Enough...
I've kept kosher most of my life, but through a more Messianic type of belief. I was expecting something else, I guess, more along the lines of what fish are clean? What birds are clean? What might be unclean in this or that brand named store bought food or at this restaurant. I was hoping for something for us poor schmucks who don't happen to live in high Jewish populations like NY. But I don't know enough of the Hebrew words to understand everything in this app, and so therefore, it looks pretty. It seems to run well. It hasn't caused my phone too many problems (it did seize up once when I was searching for what I thought might include restaurants in Kansas, bug after I closed it and rebooted the phone, the app worked fine. Still no restaurants in Kansas, though, surprise! Oy.).

Thanks for this helpful app, I used to look things up at the market all the time, for reassurance. Once, an item wasn't listed, and I emailed... I believe I remember emailing directly through the app and getting an answer quite soon. But now, app stopped working, crashes as soon as I open it. Emailed them: answer was, may need to update your system.
All my other apps work on my iPhone 4s, wish this one did, as I used it all the time. Oh well!
Please, fix the app? I miss being able to use it since it died in the last update.

Is there a reason why it is not available for ios 7?
Great App, but stopped working...
With the new update of September 18, 2013, this useful app is not working anymore on my old IPad running iOs 5.1.1 (9B206). Its crashing on my face on loading. One of the odds of new iOs releases is that the developer has to spend some time testing its apps to guarantee that the users will not get an inconvenient bad experience like that I am experiencing right now. As a Jew and software developer, I forgive you in order to seek forgiveness next Yom Kippur. Five stars for the app, one star for not testing properly. So my average rating is three stars. Shana Tova and keep testing.

Needs work
Love the idea of this app but it turned out that it was not as helpful as I had hoped it would be. An item I was looking for was not listed so I emailed my question through the app and did not receive an answer and then I had to call them with my inquiry. Defeats the purpose if the info on the app is not up to date and there's no email support.

OU passover guide
Excellent resource, but once again the OU totally ignores the Sephardic world. There is no reason why they can't classify food as acceptable for Sephardim on Passover! The OU was begun as a request of the sisterhood at Shearith Israel the Spanish Portuguese Synagogue of NYC.
