About
Ouk Chaktrang is the traditional chess of Cambodia — a cousin of Thai Makruk and Indian Chaturanga, with its own pieces, its own opening and the counting rule that decides a long endgame. This app teaches it properly and plays it properly, in Khmer and English.
The king is the Sdach. The Neang steps one square diagonally. The Koul moves like a shield. The Trey — the fish — start on the third rank, and the whole opening follows from that.
