exactly what I've been looking for!
We try to find and observe these objects in the telescope but I've never easily found a site that shows their position in Our Galaxy. There is one from NASA I believe but strangely they don't show the position of our Sun in the galaxy, a critical omission.
Lots of options and information to play with, this is just a superb app!

Iβve been using this quite a lot over the last month Iβve bought it. It fills a void Iβve always wondered about of where IS that star, cluster, nebula, galaxy?
Itβs really amazing to see many bodies observed and during or afterward, put them all in context to the neighbourhood. The 3d aspect of the program takes the cake for learning these things and itβs quite easy-peasy to learn to use.

Eye opening
Others have said enough. This is an educational mindfulness spinner toy. UI is superb, help files are extensive. Everyone should own this.
I like it
Nice app that shows stuff in perspective. I wish it had an option to switch to Night Sky view tied to geo coordinates like other stargazing apps for star hoping and DSOs search during observation sessions. Then it would be all in one. Otherwise, I have to jump between different apps.

This one delivers and it's free! You can use this app to get a good representation of our galaxy's size and structure. It's a good visual aid and accurate modelling.

Wonderful app that provides a perspective that is totally different than βlooking outβ from our small perch on the earth. Go ahead and jump all the way out of the Milky Way and look back for a change. Wow!
It is beyond my understanding how anyone can calculate the position of what we see as unmoving points and smudges of light in the night sky. But here it is. The detail is highest closest to the Sun, demonstrating limits to our vision, but we also see galaxies individually and as groups far away. The app is new to me and I am totally blown away.
