Very useful
This app was so helpful for staying connected throughout the surrogacy process. I really enjoyed being able to receive updates and having all our communication in an organized place. Thank you ❤️
Great concept, few tweaks would make it 5 stars
It’s amazing to finally have an app dedicated to this unique experience! I love the fact that both IPs and GCs are able to use it together and that the language is tailored to our situation. There are a couple of things that would take this to 5* for me.
I would love to be able to backdate updates - it is frustrating that dates are incorrect if you can’t add an update on the exact day it happens. For example, I started using the app after our first heartbeat confirmation appointment and realized - after I had added notes on a later appointment - that it would be nice to include notes on the heartbeat appointment as well. However, doing so would put it out of order and my type-A brain can’t handle that 😂 I would also love to see more frequent updates than weekly, as well as a bit more information as seen in other apps - what kinds of things can we be doing or thinking about or preparing as IPs as time goes on?

So nice to find a pregnancy tracker app geared to those of us growing our families through surrogacy. Love how we can add IPs, GCs, and our spouses to the same pregnancy“journey” so everyone is connected and updated. It takes a village!

The App That Made My Surrogacy Experience Complete
As a two-time gestational carrier, I can say on my second surrogate journey that Our Journey transformed my experience. The shared timeline eliminated endless group texts and emails, keeping everyone connected regardless of distance. Posting bump pics, and ultrasound captures and seeing my intended parents' real-time reactions makes us feel like we're experiencing these moments together. The app understands each role in the journey. My updates acknowledge that it's their baby growing in my body, offering me updates on what’s going on inside while giving parents updates about THEIR baby's development. We also use the app to track calendar appointments for upcoming OB visits they are dialing in to. Overall, Our Journey became the digital heartbeat of our surrogacy story, despite the physical distance between us.

Helpful app for IPs and GCs to stay connected
Great pregnancy tracker for surrogate journeys! Love the ability to invite multiple users to the same journey (parents, GCs, agency, etc) so everyone can stay updated. Makes me feel seen to have this app available and my pregnancy honored in this way! The recent update also seems to have fixed many issues with onboarding, etc

Missing code to share
I was excited, as a surrogate, to find a place that I could document my journey and share with my IPs. Unfortunately when I tried to invite them to the journey I had already started documenting, the 12-digit code required for them to join was nowhere to be found. Apparently I needed to have saved it from when I first created my account. I wish I had known because now if I want to use this app, I have to create a new account. This would be fine if I could add entries that are back-dated but that isn’t possible either. Please solve both of these problems to be a better app!

We’re really sorry you hit that roadblock. In our new update the invite code is now always visible—tap the “＋” in the main header, or go to Settings → Invite (it’s also shown at the bottom of the timeline) to share a link or QR, so you won’t need to recreate your journey. Not loading
Downloaded app but it won’t work. It keeps saying “loading”.

I want to use this app but once I hit start the app just keeps loading and loading and never loads

So sorry for that loading screen in the previous version 1.4. We’ve just pushed an update (v1.6.0) that fixes a startup bug affecting some devices. Please update and try again; if the spinner still appears, email us at developers@thesurrogacyguide.com and we’ll jump on it right away.
useful way for surrogates and intended parents to stay connected and document the entire journey!
I was looking for a pregnancy tracker app for my surrogacy journey but none of the traditional ones really fit our situation. this one is pretty easy to use and creates a nice scrapbook like experience that allows you, your partner, your surrogate, and other loved ones to stay in touch and receive multi media updates — awesome!
