About

Rock-paper-scissors, with numbers. Fire beats grass. Grass beats water. Water beats fire. Same type? The higher number wins. You will know the rules in ten seconds. What makes it hard is that both hands are open. Every card is visible to both players, so the game is not about hidden information. It is about reading the order and choosing which round to give away. Daily puzzle: one board a day, the same for everyone; the score is how many tries the right order takes. Every daily is filtered so a perfect sweep is impossible and exactly one ordering is best. Share your grid, never the answer. A try count and a grid of attempts, no spoilers. Campaign: eight opponents with real habits to learn and beat. Gauntlet: a run where your cards are the clock. Friend duels: hidden hands by default, or open hands to learn together; send the room link and your friend can play in a browser, no install needed. Pro is a single purchase that supports an independent game: exact optimal line analysis, the daily archive, unlimited puzzles with hints, statistics and two extra card backs. No ads, no card packs, no loot boxes, no second currency, no real money prizes.

What's New in Outguess

1.1.0

October 26, 2026

Grass replaces Ice The third element is now Grass. Fire burns grass, grass drinks water, water douses fire. All five grass cards are new, from a small sprout at 3 to a full tree at 7, and the element symbols in the card corners are new too. The daily boards and the 900 puzzles keep exactly the same positions. No ads The game no longer shows any ads and no longer asks about tracking. Sign-in is gone too: there is no account to make, and your progress stays on your phone. Hidden or open hands with friends Friend rooms play with hidden hands by default: you see your own cards, your friend's stay face down until they are played. Pick Open hands when you create the room to learn the game together. Share the room link in one tap from the home screen, and your friend can join straight from a browser, no install needed. Easier to learn A sample round on the rules page shows a whole round in about fifteen seconds, from both picks to the reveal. The rules now spell out the simultaneous reveal, draws and the reserve cards. Settings has a new Simple cards option that draws every card as element, symbol and number. Your daily result After the daily you now see how hard today's board was and the average number of tries, next to your streak. A cleaner start The home screen is down to three doors: today's duel, Practice and Play a friend. A first launch now takes you straight into today's duel after a short intro. New look A new app icon built around the leaf, and refreshed card backs. The Frost back is now called Moss. Pro Pro is still a one-time purchase, not a subscription: full analysis, the daily archive, unlimited puzzles with hints, statistics and two card backs. After a match everyone now sees the best pick they missed; the full line stays in Pro. Buying it supports an independent game.
