What's New in Outpost

1.1

July 15, 2026

iCloud sync — your saved connections sync across your iPhone and iPad through your private iCloud. No account, nothing to set up. Optionally sync saved passwords too (off by default). Settings — the Appearance tab is now Settings, bringing your terminal look and iCloud options together. Return key on the keyboard bar, next to the arrows. Smoother scrolling — swipe to scroll inside full-screen apps like tmux and htop. Better text selection, including a Select mode for grabbing text in those apps. Reliability fixes for reconnecting and ending sessions.

Clean and fast!

Great terminal app! I like that any information stored is local to me and uses iOS keychain when saving passwords and keys. I like the ability of how it syncs what is saved on my iPad over to my iPhone so that if I'm in a pinch and have to log into any server at work from my iPhone I don't have to re-input anything. One feature I'd like to see is the ability to select something in the terminal using a mouse/touchpad for easier copy and paste. Basically mirror the type of select copy and paste I would do in a Mac terminal. Current select doing a double tap on something then stretching the selection is fine so at least I'm able to select as needed.
