Promising App with Poor Results and Support
I’ve tried several workarounds to get the treble booster and other recent updates but have failed. I may be misunderstanding a requirement, but it seems like I only needed to have made a purchase this year, which I did on my iPad. Overall, I also feel the tones are just not quite worth the hype either. Other people love the app, so I’m probably an outlier. Feeling a bit ripped off.

Awesome sounding app, not so great UI
I love this app and the way it sounds.
But even after using it for such a long time i still wish the knobs itself could be turned at your fingertips instead of having to use the sliders in the side bar. It is just not intuitive and literally all amp sims/fx apps on ios use the touchscreen to adjust the knobs instead of using sliders in a side menu. I was hoping version 2.0 would finally offer this function, but still no go. This is almost the only app on iOS that doesn’t properly utilize touch screen in that way.

Midi issues with current version
UPDATE 6.23.25:
Soon after my review was posted (although written a few days prior) the app was updated and the midi and rig player issues were fixed!
AND THEY ADDED THE DOUBLER AND TRANSPOSER which were new features in the new desktop version. The doubler makes my guitars sound huge!!!
Upgraded my rating from 4 stars to 5. I would give it 10 if I could
The current version, 1.5.6 has many issues with midi. Pretty much doesn’t work. There’s also an issue with rig player temporarily locking up if you move your pedals around in your effects chain. Previous versions worked perfect. This app used to be so stable, never had any issues with it until now. It’s probably an incompatibility issue with iOS 18.3. I would hold off updating to this version. Although I believe support is on top of the issues. This is not a knock on the app, just a psa for users. Other than these recent issues, this app is fantastic! Some of the best amp modeling you can get. The desktop version is ridiculously great as well. Just the best all around amp modeling you can get for mobile and desktop. Tech support is great as well. In-app purchases are very affordable too. Thanks Overloud folks!

MIDI functions gone!!!
This has been a fantastic app I have used live for last couple years. However be warned - this version is broken. If you need midi control wait for a fix. 1.5.4 worked fine but you cannot downgrade. Once fixed I will give 5 stars.

Midi no longer works with current version.
Has become unstable and crashing
I have been using Thu for a few years without problems. Mainly the Rig Player and some of it’s modules which sound great. Since updating to ios18.5 thu has become very buggy and crashes constantly. I hope this can be fixed quickly.

Best sounding amp sim on ios period.

Para ser el mejor emulador la estética visual va fatal para conciertos i ensayos yo lo uso con un pedal MIDI y me vuelvo cegato a parte de no ser compatble con GarageBand

This same effect works great in bias fx2 - sadly bias doesn’t work
with logic, which is why I turned to thu - BIG disappointment! :-(

Sounds great but interface is really bad and confusing
Sounds great but the interface is un intuitive, simple things are complicated.
Does not work on the new M4 iPad Pro
Does not work on the new M4 iPad Pro using Focusrite Scarlett USB audio interface at all. I have other modeling apps including TonStack Pro and Amplitude that work without a single tweak. Overloud TH-U does not sense the input signal and does not send any signals to the output on the Focusrite. The Focusrite has the lights to show the signal path so it is very simple to isolate the problem.

Terrific FX, Not fully implemented
The old saying goes, guitar sims are good on guitars, and great on everything else. This is no exception, I think the best deal here is for the FX package that gets you a ton of iOS effects very cheaply. These work in stereo, they work without any guitar stuff interfering, they are absolutely studio grade processors for AUM or your iOS DAW. You also get models you’ve already bought on desktop for $1 fee.
The negatives are that the preset handling and MIDI implementation and general UI is full of jank to the point of near unusability. AUM Presets will be lost at random times leaving you with a blank pedalboard…you need to save presets internally to THU always. They have their own MIDI mapping thing where they don’t publish out to the plug-in interface so you have to see what can work there I still haven’t dug into it. When AUM gets into a memory crunch it can bail out the THU plugs before it does others, suggesting they have some bloated cross-platform library or something in use. Finish the product!
But it’s hard to complain too hard with this deal and I even bought some of the individual modules like the Blue Sky and the Binson Echorec. And just because they put a pedal UI on a processor doesn’t make it worse than the ones that have a rack UI. They are one of many choices in desktop but there’s nothing quite this extensive on iOS and they should get rid of the jank to earn a certified hit.

Pedais + Amp Modern + Supergabinet Travando

Utilizo o App Móvel em IPad 9, estou tendo dificuldade ao utilizar pedais de distorção + chorus + delay + reverb + amp modern + Supergabinet, o App trava de uma forma muito grave; preciso reiniciar várias vezes e deixar o app aberto com a tela toda escura até que ele exclua o preset automaticamente e volte a funcionar!!!

Es el mejor que he probado
Es el mejor emulador de amplificadores y efectos para Guitarra que he probado sin duda alguno. La calidad de sonido es impresionante. Lo malo es que es caro me parece bastante caro aunque la versión gratuita te permite un un set, tap bastante básico, pero relativamente completo con el que se puede hacer muchas cosas. Y lo mejor de todo. Consume muy pocos recursos y se integra muy bien tanto en GarageBand como en Cubasis. incluso trabajando 96 Khz de frecuencia de muestreo. mucho mejor que días Effects con la cual he tenido muchos problemas.
