AI stops impulse buying

1.2.2
August 6, 2026
This update is all about making sure Your Inventory feels like yours — FIXED • The categories-and-locations bug that made some setups show duplicates is now properly gone. Under the hood this was two bugs deep: a CloudKit schema field that prevented your inventory from syncing, and a race where the cleanup pass sometimes didn't run on launch. Both fixed. Existing duplicates will merge automatically on first open. NEW / WIRED • AI tip cards in Insights now tell you when the AI is offline versus when the backend said no — useful for reporting issues to us. • Add Item: inline "you usually buy N" suggestion while you type the name. • Add Item: photo analysis now picks the household item instead of the top-confidence Vision tag (so "Batteries" instead of "appliance"). • Home: long-press an item and swipe left → "Used One". One tap records usage, updates last-used date, drives the smart suggestions you see in Insights. • Shopping list: left-swipe on any active item → Priority. Tap to cycle Low → Normal → High → Urgent; the list auto-sorts. • Settings → Notifications now has a "Daily Engagement" toggle for the 9am reminder. Long overdue. RELIABILITY • The app no longer crashes on corrupt receipt photos, broken calendar calls, or other edge-path inputs. • All 12 notification paths properly log if iOS rejects a schedule, so when reminders say they'll fire, they actually fire. A lot of this won't be visible — it's the kind of work that means the app just behaves. Please keep the feedback coming.
