What's New in OzRunways EFB

14.8.0

- Added an in-app banner on the old plan sheet to invite eligible pilots to switch to the new plan sheet. - Destination alternate fuel now uses the alternate's planned level and includes climb fuel. - The new plan sheet and date pickers now remember whether you last selected UTC or local time. - TAS and GS columns in the optimiser now sort from fastest to slowest. - Added crosshatched fuel sheet cells to show values that are intentionally blank. - Safe Start quick launch now shows a confirmation popup when the app opens with that action. - Updated dark mode bar and view backgrounds for better contrast on OS 27. - Fixed ATA and ATD being populated on alternates when overflying unrelated waypoints. - Fixed deleting the first waypoint in a new plan sheet alternate removing the whole alternate. - Fixed map drag insertion in new plan sheet alternates so waypoints are added in the correct position. - Fixed weight and balance load sheets failing to save in the first segment when the first waypoint had an alternate. - Fixed weight and balance station overweight errors showing kilograms instead of the aircraft's selected unit. - Fixed weight and balance total moment summary unit labels. - Fixed the weight and balance landing weight label being shown as TOW.

All good

An excellent tool to have

taking away functions

Taking away smart plates from IFR pilots and only providing them to the jacked up price of jep subscription :/

App

Brilliant

This software is only getting better. Love the improvements

A great app for flight planning and safety awareness

I have been using OzRunways for about 8 years, and it is a really excellent app for flight planning, checking weather, and having the most up to date charts much more cost effectively than buying paper copies.
In particular it is great that there is a high uptake of people using the app and broadcasting their position, from the RAAF to gliders, and your iPad will show other users of OzRunways and those with ADSB. It doesn’t remove the need for a good look-out but it is a great feature.
The ‘pilot notes’ are great, particularly where they relate to fuel, and sometimes great places to stay.
In addition I have really enjoyed designing flights all over Australia, some of which I have then done.
I have now updated to the IFR subscription and anticipate that OzRunways will continue to be my go-to app for flight planning.
