About

P422 Fairuz is a four-band op-amp parametric EQ that moves past hardware — the punch and harmonic density of classic op-amp circuits, with capabilities the originals never had. Shape your sound with HIGH, HI-MID, LO-MID and LOW bands, each with three selectable curves (Bell, Contour, Contour X2) and proportional Q: wide stays wide, narrow finds itself. LO and HI shelves with complementary dip behavior, switchable HPF/LPF, and the TREMOR circuit laying a sub-bass foundation below 30 Hz. Character comes from the circuit, not just the curve: the VOICE input transformer control and HAMMER output stage add body, density and saturation — op-amp color available even with the EQ bands off. Blend it all in parallel with the MIX control, no DAW routing needed. What's New in P422 Fairuz

2.1.0

August 21, 2026

What's new in 2.1.0 • HIGH and HI-MID bands are now crystal clear at the top: the filter curves keep their true shape right up to the edge of hearing, identical at every sample rate. Your existing presets and sessions sound exactly the same as before. • Fixed: at sample rates between 48 and 88.2 kHz the whole mix was being softened by a protection filter. • TREMOR's analog movement is back to its slow, organic drift. • The spectrum visualizer now follows your presets: it opens or closes with the preset you load. • Preset browser: Save stores into the selected folder, Rename never overwrites an existing name, deleting a folder always asks first, and Delete greys out when there is nothing to delete. • Switching oversampling during playback is now glitch-free, CPU use is lower with the visualizer closed, and the response display has a higher resolution. • Several stability fixes. • About window tidied up on iPad and iPhone. Requires iOS 15 or later.
