What's New in PacePal

1.1.1

October 18, 2026

Design refresh (iOS) Adopted iOS's native Liquid Glass effect — header icons/buttons across the app now use real glass material instead of flat icons. Switched to native iOS bottom tab bar (system-rendered, replacing the old custom JS tab bar) for native feel and performance. Updated app-wide color palette. Updated button styling — adjusted border radius and related theme tokens for a more consistent look. Notifications "View Invite"/"Show details" buttons now correctly disappear once you've already joined or accepted, instead of lingering. Fixed several notification types' "Show details" button doing nothing when tapped. Pal request, run invite, and "You've Got Company" notifications now show the correct profile photo (or initials when there's no photo) instead of a blank avatar. Stopped duplicate "pal request" notifications when a request is cancelled and resent — it now bumps the existing one to the top instead. Notifications screen refreshes automatically when you return to it, so accepted/joined runs update right away. Other fixes InvitePals always shows your latest pals list instead of a stale cached one. Past-run map thumbnails show a loading placeholder instead of staying blank while loading. Landing screen layout and spacing cleanup. Backend tooling to recreate run map images that went missing from storage.
