About

Paciva is a simple, gentle tool for noticing daily capacity. It’s built around one idea: that each day comes with a limited amount of energy — and that noticing this earlier can change how a day unfolds. Paciva uses a clear metaphor called the Envelope. Your Envelope represents how much capacity you have today, and how it changes as the day goes on. Some days the Envelope is wide. Some days it’s thin. Both are valid. Paciva doesn’t tell you what to do. It doesn’t push goals, streaks, or productivity. It helps you notice. WHAT PACIVA DOES • Offers a calm reference for how a day is developing • Helps you reflect on what costs energy — including invisible effort • Supports pacing, rest, and self-awareness • Adapts gently over time as you use it • Lets you share a simple overview with someone you trust, if you choose Paciva can be used on its own, or with optional contexts such as ME/CFS pacing or neurodivergent capacity. These contexts adjust language and assumptions — not the core idea. WHAT PACIVA IS NOT Paciva does not measure energy. It does not predict outcomes. It does not know your body. Sometimes it will be off. Paciva is intentionally simple. It’s a mirror, not a ruler. The first few days are about calibration. Early values are starting points, not conclusions. BUILT WITH CARE • Calm, non-judgmental language • No accounts required • Offline-first • Your data stays on your device • Designed to reduce cognitive load Paciva is still evolving. Early versions focus on getting the core experience right — clarity, gentleness, and trust. If Paciva helps you pause a little earlier, doubt yourself a little less, or treat your limits with more respect, then it’s doing what it’s meant to do. IMPORTANT NOTE Paciva is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is a reflective tool meant to support awareness, not replace professional guidance.

Gentler Activity Tracking We've redesigned how activities affect your envelope based on your feedback. Softer Impact Display Activities now show an "Estimated Impact" instead of exact point costs The numbers you see are capped to feel less alarming (~12 max) Visual feedback uses gentle language like "light pressure" or "moderate impact" Gradual Load System Activities no longer subtract their full cost immediately Part of each activity's impact is deferred and applies gradually throughout the day Your envelope now "tightens before it empties" — giving you a more realistic sense of your capacity Smarter Protections Early in the day, your envelope is protected from dropping too low too fast Your first activities of the day have a dampened impact The system learns and adjusts as your day progresses What This Means for You Logging a single activity won't feel like it "nukes" your day You'll see a gentler, more gradual decline in your remaining capacity The envelope still meaningfully constrains — it just does so more kindly
