What's New in PackApp USA

4.0.1

September 22, 2026

Sharpened for the season — this update is all fixes and polish: • Trip Cheat Sheet: export an at-a-glance card with sunrise/sunset, forecast, pack weight, and waypoints — share it or print it before you lose service • New Camper / RV trip type for base-camp style trips • Fire Index now honors NWS Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches • Crew changes in the Loadout Manifest now save (and Cancel actually cancels) • Pack weight limits now check pack weight — not body + pack • Downloaded templates keep their proper names • Sharing: removing a member or changing a role now sticks, every time • Community database: smarter add/remove that can't touch your customized gear • Fixed a crash when entering out-of-range waypoint coordinates • Dozens of smaller fixes across weather, heat map, sign-up, and account deletion

Great App !!

This is a great App ! It’s very informative and comprehensive. It’s very easy to navigate. You can add as many items and as much information and detail as you want. I love that I can save items and even groups of items for recurring trips. Also the weather info is very helpful!

PackApp USA

I am the worst planner when it comes to trips. I am an extreme over packer with too much gear yet at the same time I always miss one critical item. This ap is easy to use, and has helped me methodically plan what I need. The Ap also provides backcountry information on many topics that can be a general guide in planning. Great ap!!!

Super handy!

I am a chronic over packer. Being able to plan ahead, make a list of my gear, and have an idea of how much everything weighs is so helpful. Not to mention getting an idea of what weather I might expect is super helpful.
