Ads
Installed; opened; got stuck on an obnoxious ad. Closed app; reopened; got stuck on a Temu-esq screen advertising absolute junk. Immediate delete. I’ll use ChatGPT.

Only rudimentary functions in free version, key features missing, intrusive ads
Cannot make a list tailored to a specific trip. So say, everything in the essentials list is included each time choose the essentials list for a trip. Great. Except I don’t need “protection” for a mother-daughter getaway. Guess you need to check off as packed anything you don’t need for each trip. Rather a waste of time. And it clutters the already packed view with all the unneeded items. And yes, you can add your own items to a list. But you cannot edit the list in the free version. So there’s really not much point, being constrained to lists that don’t suit me.
And, the free version constantly plays loud, lengthy, intrusive ads. Making it annoying to use. In addition, syncing across devices is behind the paywall too.
The price isn’t bad. But, lacking what seems to me a basic requirement in a packing list, what’s the point? I din’t even want to explore it more because of the ads. It feels like I’m an attempt at forcing me into buying premium. There’s not even a free trial so I can see if the full product suits my needs. I might be willing to pay the subscription if the functionality were present. But I’ll never know — and hence never pay.
I do not object to ad supported apps. I do not object to tiered pricing. What I do object to is being frequently and jarringly interrupted. And I have no tolerance for a free tier that serves no purpose other than to funnel users into paying.
Their “best deal” and “most popular” plan is the ONLY plan. The home page has 3 equally sized sections - one displays my test trip, the other two are ads — for itself. The app is full of fluff features. Just seems like a sleazy money grab. Overall, giving this app a try was unpleasant. I won’t be using it.

Condoms foe Camping?!?!?
This is another garbage app. It makes more work. It autogenerated a list for camping that included CONDOMS and facemasks.
The only thing that should be on this apps checklist is to delete it.

Unusable after the newest update
Since the recent update, the ads make this app unusable. I’m unable to close the ads once they pop up, even if I watch them fully. Too bad, this app was great before.
