PackSlate is a private, offline gear and backpacking loadout planner for iPhone and iPad. Catalog what you own, build reusable hiking, camping, and travel loadouts, complete a required-item packing checklist, and keep factual history without an account, subscription, advertising, analytics, or cloud dependency. • Record gear name, category, brand, model, exact integer-gram weight, available quantity, status, and notes • Build reusable loadouts with pack-base, consumable, and worn roles plus required or optional flags • Compare two loadouts with exact total and role-by-role weight differences • Start a frozen packing snapshot, check and uncheck items, and require every must-pack item before completion • Review completed, cancelled, and voided history; restore a record without erasing the original event trail • Inspect simple historical facts for saved packing records—never recommendations or safety advice • Export readable text or RFC 4180 CSV and create checksum-verified PackSlate backups with preview, merge, replace, rollback, and recovery Your gear, loadouts, packing records, and backups stay on your device unless you explicitly export them. Only feedback you choose to send can use the network. PackSlate does not predict pack suitability, trip safety, weather, calories, or equipment performance.
