It’s a waste of money getting subscription if we can’t use it . Fix your app can never open it it just crashes
Crashes when trying to launch app
Just subscribed to Packt and was excited to start learning a few new things but I have not been able to open the app at all it will crash every time I try an open the app.
Crashes immediately when opened
The title of this review says it all. The info in the App Store suggests that the last update was 3 years ago? The developer probably lost interest.
Latest version doesn’t run on iPad 10.2
Used to at least work. I have canceled my subscription because the site is down a lot and clunky. And this app starts to open, then disappears on the iPad 10.2 pro. I know it’s older, but when I bought it the app worked fine. Then they updated it and it broke. I have moved to a more expensive subscription -> but it just @#$@# works. —> from a different company. I recommend the same.

Totally disappointed
Earlier the app used to work OK. I faced issues with crashing, unable to download, unable to load content and on and on… but now I’m not even able open the app.
Immediately crashes when launching
Why does this app still exist? It does not even open and no updates in the last 2 years.

Take the app down if you are not going to fix any of the issues! It doesn’t work at all. People pay for a subscription with essentially no support. Bad business practice and state of mind!I can’t believe the lack of attention to these issues! Packt, you should be ashamed!
Doesn’t work
It won’t even launch. And looking at the reviews, it’s been broken for a while. It’s pretty clear the developers just don’t care. So don’t bother with it.
Can’t even open the app
As other have mentioned. The app won’t even open now. I tried deleting it and reinstalling it, but it still doesn’t work.
App doesn’t work
App will not start. The website works … that’s okay but the books are not the most current for the topic. The few books I like happen to be freely distributed. If you’re going out of business please do so either that please give software & material that’s working & current.
Crashes…
I subscribed online and the web view is great, but I cannot use the app as it shows the splash screen for a split second, then crashes. This happens on my iPhone 13 and iPad Pro 12.9 running iOS 15.3.1
Junk, total junk
The app crashes when I try to use it. Immediately after starting. Reinstalled, still does this.
app needs work
Glad i don’t subscribe to this app anymore. I have an iphone 13 pro max and ipad 12.9 M1 and as soon as i o-en the app it closes and never stays open. Just crashes. Worst piece of crap i’ve ever tried using. Developers should never have it up if it don’t work on certain phones or ipads and it seriously needs to get fixed!!!!!!

Useless
It keeps crashing. Don’t bother downloading it, which is a shame.

No crashes ... works great
I use the app on iPad Air (1st Gen) iOS 12.5.5 and on iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Gen). In both scenario the app launches and I’m able to use the book and video. Currently my got is the iPad Air for this app as its small enough for me to use in conjunction with my laptop
Opens and closes
Is the developer even aware of all these reviews stating exactly the same thing? The irony of an app meant to provide expert instruction in things like programming and app-building not ever working is…rich. Get this fixed, or else just yank it from the App Store!
Worked but now dead
When this app worked, which it did for a while, it was absolutely exactly what i was looking for. I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, that was too good to be true, because now like everyone else it will not even open. I think i will have to cancel my subscription because the other avenues are not working for me as an autistic individual.

Downloaded this a few months ago and it would not open upon launch. Fast forward to today and still does not open. Does anyone support this app???
Wish you could read one of your own books
The app is pathetic - and they publish technical books for a living. How ironic! Wish they could have someone read one of their own books on how to write a basic app that does not crash.
app is non-functional
Although the website still says that this app is supported, it does not appear that it is. I was really hoping to use the ipad app to read/look at things offline.
