This tool has been fantastic. It really does a great job at tracking and letting us know where we’re at and keeping us on course. I wish I had had something like this years ago. :)

I’ve spent hours scanning maps to find water access areas along rivers, and trying to guess at how long it will take to float so I can coordinate a pickup. PaddleGuide has all this info databased and readily available!
We also once underestimated a float time with our young kids and got stuck on a river in the dark and far from our planned exit (it wasn’t the thrill we intended). We started using PaddleGuide since then and we love it because it gives us clear access points, float times, and even water conditions (like, is this water suitable for SUP or not) and takes the guesswork out of paddling or relying on word-of-mouth. The app tracks me in real time, so I can easily see how far I am from my destination, and my ride on the other end knows when I’m getting close to needing to be picked up without either of us having to make a text or phone call (I’m always afraid of dropping my phone in the water). PLUS I can share my route with friends via Paddle guide instead of having to explain where the boat ramps are, or where to find/how to get to the points of interest along the way.
Lastly, I feel a lot braver about trying new paddle routes for the first time because the app is so informative I don’t have to worry about getting lost.
