About
Paddlebook is a native trip-planning and field-journal app for camping and paddling in Prince William Sound.
Plan daily routes, organize gear, review weather and tides, save NOAA charts for offline use, record GPS tracks, and keep a trip journal on your iPhone or iPad.
FEATURES
• Daily trip plans with mileage limits, tide windows, bailout options, and check-ins.
• Gear lists with quantities, packing progress, bulk actions, and dictation.
• Shared trip expenses, payments, balances, and report sharing.
• Weather from Open-Meteo and tide predictions from NOAA.
• Marine forecasts and NOAA tidal-current predictions.
• Downloadable NOAA regional raster charts for offline viewing.
• Waypoints, routes, GPX import/export, and user-started GPS tracks.
• Journal entries with optional photos, locations, dictation, and condition snapshots.
• Dated trip-book PDF export.
• JSON backup and optional folder-based sync.
Paddlebook does not require an account. Trip information is stored on the device. Optional folder sync works only after you choose a folder and is available while the app is open.
Online forecasts, marine data, Windy, online charts, and chart-package downloads require an internet connection. Download data before departure and check its location, date, and age.
Paddlebook is a planning aid. It is not a substitute for official notices, current charts, local knowledge, safe judgment, or appropriate navigation and emergency equipment.
