Singles, a scoreboard that shows who serves, and an Apple Watch that does more of the match on its own. Play singles or 2 v 1: leave a player name empty and that side is one player, who serves every one of their side's service games. No more phantom partner. The serving player's name is now highlighted on the board, on your iPhone and your Apple Watch, with a dot on the side of the box they serve from. A rules chip shows whether you're playing Golden Point, Advantage or Star Point, and at deuce it tracks the Star Point stage. The deciding point is called out loud ("Golden point.", "Star point."; switch it off in Settings → Voice), and as the FIP rules say, the receivers choose the side. On Apple Watch, each match is saved to Health as a workout, with heart rate, calories and the final score, so there's no need to start the Workout app on top of the scoreboard. Turn on "Show heart rate on the watch" in Settings to see your live pulse on the board. Everything stays in your own Health app. If the iPhone app is closed, in the background or out of range, the watch keeps scoring by itself and the match syncs back to your phone afterwards. The "play a point for serve" playoff now works entirely from the wrist too: cancel it, take back the wrong winner, or replay a finished match without reaching for your phone. Also in this release: - Every subscription plan fits on screen without scrolling, and Lifetime is clearly a one-time purchase. - Swiping right on a live match no longer freezes the scoreboard. - The first score of a match is announced on iPhone again, and entering a match confirms that voice announcements are on. - Coming back from sharing to an Instagram story no longer pops up a second share sheet. Feedback? We'd love to hear it at info@padelref.live. See you on court.
