love the app. I use it for tracking milage and steps. can you plz add a "dog walk" icon to the pool of activity icons? I record all of my dogs walks. thank you. 🤘🏼

Rebuilds index too often.

It struggles and seems quite power intensive on the iPhone 14 Pro. Sometimes it crashes (can’t tap on anything and need to force close it) and then when I reopen it it jumps to dates back in 2022 and the eventually rebuilds the data (slowly) back to present day. Something amiss.

Seems to be temperamental again

After having issues for months the app was fixed, and has been working for a couple of months now. But today yet again it seems to be recording only when it wants to. I have been out and about today and nothing was recorded (even though it showed up in the Dynamic Island). It has been working for months. I haven’t changed any settings at all.

Please do not use the AppStore review system for support requests, it is not really suitable for this. Please use my regular E-Mail address to get help. Because there's no new release available, the App itself has not changed, so the issue you describe is most likely caused by something outside of the App. My assumption is the following: The iOS might have asked you for permission to let the App always use the location services again (the iOS does this from time to time, even if you already have granted the permission, just to make sure that you are still fine with this choice). If you have missed such a permission request from the iOS and did not answer it or accidentally denied the request, the App would not be able to work automatically in the background anymore. It needs the permission to always use the location service to do this. So you need to go to the system settings and give Pado the permission to always use the location services again. If this doesn't help, please try if rebooting the iOS solves the issue.

Regions are uncontrollably duplicated

I just got a new phone and restored from iCloud backup. Now data on both my new phone and old have regions that multiply whenever they are deleted. After deleting two the app crashes

Please contact me via E-Mail so that I can investigate the issue. It is likely that this is a issue within the iCloud service itself - with some luck you might be able to fix this by rebooting both devices.

Great app for activity tracking

Pado should be better known. So should Alexander Clauss. He’s been making useful, lightweight, feature-rich, privacy-preserving and affordable apps for the Apple ecosystem for a long time, charges very little for them (no subscriptions!) and yet still updates them regularly. He embodies the old school shareware ethic that focused on improving people’s lives instead of exploiting every opportunity for profit, which is a breath of fresh air in the current hyper capitalistic environment.

Excellent geo tracking App

Another excellent App from Alexander Clauss. Pado has all the geo tracking features I could wish for and the resulting information displayed after a walk/run/drive etc. is amazing. The App syncs to other devices so I can use my iPhone for tracking and then examine the journey in detail on my iPad's bigger screen.

As always support from Alexander Clauss is excellent and response time very rapid. The App is well priced and in my opinion very much worth it. Buy it, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Oh come on, really?!

I spent hours through multiple months trying to find exactly this. But since greedy and at the same time useless apps get shoveled to the top, i never found this app until now.
Instead, we're presented with Fitbit, Runtastic, UnderArmor, Nike, subscribe subscribe subscribe! Hey go PREMIUM for $300 per year!
I stumbled across some random forum post praising iCab browser. I tried it, then found a link referencing their other apps. THAT is how i had to find this sweet sweet app. THAT is what is required to bypass the trash to find the gem at the bottom.
What I'm saying is that this app is quality perfection, and so many others aren't

Like a spatial diary

What I like abt Pado is that I can use it as a log of everywhere I go. I also like that i can use it on my Apple Watch for logging boating expeditions.

Amazing App!

I've tried the developer's browser, iCabMobile, in part because of its tight integration with LastPass. I liked it so much that I thought I should check into their other apps. Pado is the first one I've tried and I must admit, it is amazing!! I do a lot of hiking and walking, and this far exceeds what I have seen in similar apps. It tracks just about anything and does so very accurately. We recently took it on a lengthy boat trip, and I tracked it on Palo and several other leading GPS tracking apps at the same time. Pads won hands down, providing the most accurate data about the trip.....and never skipped a beat along the way!
